I think the only thing that keeps him over with the crowd now is the respect that's given to him. If you turn him heel, the marks aren't going to respect him anymore and the crowd is going to go silent. Unless it meant a world title push and was a short term option, I wouldn't turn him heel. I tended to like him better as the heartless "Robo-Benoit" type character, who actually lived up to the "Crippler" nickname and just wanted to hurt people, but we may be beyond the days where you can have that sort of heel. I don't think that kind of heel will work anymore either. I think it'd just make the crowd go silent.

Yes please. Imagine what he can do for Taker, Cena and Lashley. Have him lose the title to MVP and take it from there.
And btw Benoit was heel in 2002 you know. Anybody remember?

Yes please. Imagine what he can do for Taker, Cena and Lashley. Why couldn't he feud with those guys as a babyface? A babyface feud between him and Taker would be fantastic. The 2 guys that command the most respect. It'd be pointless to turn Benoit heel. Rather than have Michael Cole talk about how much respect he's lost for Benoit, just let the fans decide.
