Plus, RVD is set to make good darn cash if he resigns. 400,000 minimum guaranteed yearly, plus mercendise royalties.

Is anyone else sick of someone saying this everytime something is reported? Look, I understand that you can't take everything you read on the internet seriously, but if you are going to dismiss everything you read as "newz" or "smark bait" (a horrible term, by the way), then why bother reading anything? There are some articles that MIGHT have some validity ... and there's stuff like this, which just screams out that it's a creation designed to get our feathers ruffled. So, because it was on the internet, it must be real. Okay, then, here ... Fan report: Kevin Thorne (w/Ariel) vs. CM Punk (w/Kelly Kelly): During commercial break, Kelly Kelly asked if the crowd (who wuz DEAD!) wanted to see sumthing to eksite them. So Kelly Kelly (HAWT!) took off her top! And then Ariel (BIG BOOBS!) did! And then they kissed, fer liek, 2 minutes! I betcha, if they didn't come bakc from commercial, they'd gone all the way!!! And because you read it here on the internet, IT MUST BE TRUE. Come on, man. Some halfwit can't write a fake "report" and send it to a news-site as a practical joke? Jed Shaffer ~Oh, wait, was this from Meltzer's fact-finding ninjas? Like I said, why read it if you are going to immediately dismiss it? I didn't say it was true at all.. I just meant that it came from a fan report that had no other discrepancies in it. There is no initial reason to believe it didn't happen until something proves otherwise. Dayne McGlade ~ You're not funny.

I've fully accepted or dismissed any so-called report.
Its just, a few are obviously non-sensical...like that "HBK left ring because he was mad he had to job to Cena" smark bait weeks back.

If this is true, and RVD wonders why he just never made it to the very top, I hope he understands now.
I'm erring on the side of it being a New Breed/Originals promo that got lost in the mix, but, we'll see.

I'm of the opinion that it could very easily have happened, but if it did, it was scripted to.

I can't know whether I consider it possible, probable or BS without reading it first. Despite all my attempts, I've yet to become psychic. And I say again ... because you read it on the 'net, it must be true? Hey, that's your right, but you're gonna be the victim of an awful lot of crap if that's the case. Just because a fan sent it in doesn't mean it's right. The fact-finding ninjas comment was for someone else who gets the joke. And believe me, she chuckled. Jed Shaffer ~Don't care what you think about me.

Um, he's playing the role of a face ECW 'original'. What else would he say there? " Yep our time is done, new breed all the way..."

Yeah, and any day now, Tommy Dreamer will put out a new diary of violence at ecw.com that sounds SLIGHTLY shootish and OMG he may be unhappy, and they may threaten to pull his diary again!

If RVD said that stuff without being authorized by WWE, we would have gotten the "we wish him well in his future endeavors."

There is no initial reason to believe it didn't happen until something proves otherwise. I've got to disagree with this one. "It's on the internet" is a good enough initial reason for me to disbelieve anything. Throw in "Someone would probably get fired for doing this" on top of it and you've got some pretty reasonable doubt.

Im sure Terry Funk wishes it was 1987. Im sure Bruno Samartino wishes it was 1965. Im sure Hogan wishes it was 1989. Thats what past their prime wrestlers wish. That they were back in their prime. How about he stops living in the past, and deal with what he has. He screwed up his deal with ECW. No one else, and now hes gonna cry about it. RVD, Sabu, and any other "ECW Original" who has done absolutely nothing but destroy opportunities can fall off the face of the earth if you ask me. Pretty much sums up how i feel about pathetic old RVD nowadays, regardless of whether he said anything or not.

If it's "true", it screams KAAAY-FAAAAAAAAABE... It fits perfectly into the old ECW v new ECW feud they've been pushing.
If it's a legit shoot, RVD is a moron who's asking to be fired.
If it's something a fan made up to appeal the IWC, well done... Anti-WWE/WWECW newz are a a sure hit!
Anyway I'm tired of that ECW Pride... Let the dead rest in peace

I can understand RVD's frustration. WWE falsely advertised what ECW was going to be. Slowly, they've been chipping away at any remnants of what ECW is. There's Kelly, a teenage bikini model who got a job because she gave Johnny Ace a boner and was made a focal point of the brand. Extreme rules matches were reduced to one match a show, then to none at all. Heyman was taken off the creative team of ECW, then he was dismissed of his on-air role. Big Show, then Lashley were made ECW champs. The entrance way used to go through the audience, now it uses the same entrance way as Smackdown. Originals were released and replaced by Heat wrestlers. They stopped going to smaller arenas for house shows and tagged along with Smackdown house shows.
WWECW is not hated because people simply feel like sticking it to Vince, there are way too many reasons for this hate.

If it's true, I'm sure it was carefully planned in advance and given a thumbs up by Vince.
Else they would have just turned off his mic or something.

Is anyone else sick of someone saying this everytime something is reported? The word "smarkbait" is second only to the ridiculous leet speak people use when they're trying to put down the people they perceive as "smarks" (despite most actual "smart" fans never typing in that manner.). What these people don't understand is by creating insulting labels, and stereotyping entire groups of people, and discounting EVERYTHING they read out of some misguided feeling of superiority, this makes THEM the new "smarks". I.E. pretentious, arrogant morons. Just like any news anywhere that is gossip, some of it is true, some of it isn't. I laugh at the people who hold someone like Meltzer to an unrealistic standard of journalism. The guy is wrestling's version of Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood. He gets bits of information second hand and runs with it. Sometimes it doesn't pan out, but most of the time it does. He's not Walter Cronkite. People like him are gossip reporters. Learn to take things with a grain of salt. For some people, purposely scrutinizing wrestling news writers is a strange obsession. They're like the equivalent to the stereotypical guy who critiques every move in a wrestling match, jumping on every error made. It's hypocritical.
