Beniot. If and when he jumps to RAW, he the technical master going to war against a bulldozer. Benoit would more than likely be a useless TV squash for Umaga than a serious contender.

Umaga has been built up to be above the IC belt, I hate when they do this with midcard belts.
Same deal with the Raw tag titles, having Team RKO or Cena/HBK have it...nothing worthwhile is done with the belts and t he matches would be just fine without them.

Mid-card belts work best on smarmy heels - like Mr. Perfect or Honky Tonk Man.
They're wasted on monster heels like Umaga. If the whole idea is the guy's unstoppable, there's no reason he should be content with the midcard belt. He should always be just almost on the point of grabbing the top belt, or he should be kept in the background.
Putting it on up-and-coming faces like Jeff Hardy is kinda lame too. Can be useful for a short time to build toward main-eventing, but basically an up-and-comer face should be getting a main event push, or else he doesn't have the charisma for a main event push, in which case he shouldn't be getting a mid-card push either.
If the belt can't draw prestige (and it can't) it can at least draw cheap heat. No, it works best on smarmy heel.

At Wrestlemania, special ref Steve Austin should have snuck out during the hair vs hair match, stolen Umaga's IC belt, drove Cena's Ford Mustang over to the Detroit River, and thrown the IC belt into it. Remind us of the days when the IC title meant something!

Carlito if he was a heel would work, Nitro but he seems to being depushed, Kenny Dykstra? HAHAHAHAHAHA! I can't think of anyone. Really they need to call some people to Raw since thanks to Cena, Jeff Hardy and DX they have basically destroyed any heels or really even faces that had any sort of credibility.

Give it to a midcard face and have him lose it to Nitro. The Mid Card was BOOMING during his reign.

What happened to Super Crazy? He looked like he was being pushed, and had that big clean win over Nitro. Got pretty over with the crowd somehow too, in a short period.

Seriously f'ing lame. Really people joke about ECW being the Lashley Power Hour. But really the only people that get pushes on RAW is what DX, Cena, The Hardys, Khali, Umaga and Rated RKO. What only 9 people are important? God no wonder WWE sucks right now.

I thought they might have a program with J. Hardy trying to get the belt back over the next couple of months. Every match, he would get more and more offense in before the Bulldozer....dozed(?) through him. Leading to a big PPV showdown where Hardy overcomes the monster and regains the belt. The belt would gain more meaning as the fans would react to how much Jeff wanted it. Umaga would still be a monster. Jeff would go back to upper-midcard status with the belt. ...However, they decided to skip something like that and give the Hardeyz the tag titles. Oh well. Maybe Super Crazy can feud with Umaga. He is Super....and he is Crazy....which seems like a good enough combo to go after Umaga. Since the Hardys are still listed as singles wrestlers on their respective brands it might still be done. Besides, I am still not convinced that Londrick wasn't supposed to win that battle royale, only for Spanky to accidentally fall off. I see a unification match in the future to rectify that.
