This is a total work how he puts himself up over the performers and Flair is a sign he will turn back to the old Carlito. I really doubt that Carlito would say this stuff if they didn't tell him to do a worked shoot. Seriously this makes total sense to me. This could be potentially be great!

So now we're going with the "It's all a work" theory? Damn, people really don't wanna believe ANYTHING they read on the internet. If anything he sounded like he was venting legit and then tried to cover it at the end so he could say he was just in character. I agree with this. It's like Joe's comment on TNA's booking and his escape out of it. Just vent but then tell management you're in character....if they believe that they're stupid.

Well they are awful, you're not supposed to say that

Exactly. It was a shoot that he tried to turn into a work at the end when he realized what could come of it.

I know the kid has gotten to nothing, but he needs to quiet down for his sake. Guys like MVP, Nitro and Shelton aren't being pushed to the moon right now, but you don't hear them complaining about it. And I fear that if this is legit, Carly might end up getting in trouble. Is this a work? Maybe. Maybe not. But this one is a grey area right now; we'll see what comes from this later.

It's another of the worked-shoots or shooted-works that are so popular these days...
Either way, I don't think that badmouthing fellow workers is right, unless there's a feud ongoing.
Anyway, if it's a shoot, Carlito may kiss his future goodbye, at least for a year or so. If it's a work, they'd have done better.

I'm sure he has to feel above MVP/Nitro/Shelton just because of his 23093290932 shirt sales. I noticed the decline in his effort, if I had to pinpoint a starting point, around the time DX reformed and really tookover the whole focus of the show. That's when they really started putting him in the popcorn match slot.

By: Bob Ryder 3/31/2007 8:39:14 AM Carlito may have gotten himself in hot water with WWE over comments he made to the Ottawa Sun/Slam! Wrestling. In a report by Tim Baines, Carlito lashes out at WWE for leaving him off Wrestlemania 23. In the report Carlito says, "I'm out of Wrestlemania," he says. "Apparently, they had to make space for Kane vs. Khali and Melina vs. Ashley. How can I be at Wrestlemania? If I politic and kiss ass, I should make it." He continues, "I'm not going to cry or be bitter, there's always next year ... and I don't want to get fired. But they're showing disrespect by not having Ric Flair at Wrestlemania and even more disrespect by not having Carlito there." WWE has a strict policy about their talent speaking to the media, and frowns upon any negative remarks such as those made by Carlito. It is extremely rare to see a WWE wrestler make comments like this, and there will almost surely be repurcussions Credit 1wrestling www.1wrestling.com/news/newsline.asp?news=28101looks like carlito will be wished his future endevours soon. Looks like TNA has a new main-eventer.

I agree that it's a work, but possibly fueled by real thoughts. Kinda like Heyman's promo on Vince during the Invasion.
Apparently Carlito made some similar comments last Thursday as well. There was a Superstar Challenge in Detroit where several WWE wrestlers competed in a video game tournament. Carlito won it, and then made a comment like "Funny how I can win this, but I cant win at Wrestlemania because I'm not even in it"
The fact that Carlito made two different public gripes on this makes me think they are planting seeds for a post-Mania heel turn for him.

Next someone will say the RVD/Sabu arrest was a work. Newspapers don't do worked interviews where the wrestler starts cutting a promo. They still kayfabe stuff, but this isn't the same as a wwe.com or Raw promo.

I didn't say that but this was definitely massively kayfabed and it's a sign what they are going to do with Carlito. Really why would he just say this stuff for no reason that makes no sense whatsoever. Oh and Carlito never has said anything out of chachter so I don't buy him doing it now.

If it's true, I take it as a worked shoot.

This is like debating what is better--blue or red. You can say either, and that's an opinion, but it's not a fact.

Big show doesn't go Carlito's way
By TIM BAINES
DETROIT -- While many of WWE's superstars are trading punch for punch, kick for kick, headlock for headlock and table for table at tomorrow night's Wrestlemania, Carlito will be backstage watching, unhappy to be on the sidelines.
"I'm out of Wrestlemania," he says. "Apparently, they had to make space for Kane vs. Khali and Melina vs. Ashley. How can I be at Wrestlemania? If I politic and kiss ass, I should make it.
"I'm not going to cry or be bitter, there's always next year ... and I don't want to get fired. But they're showing disrespect by not having Ric Flair at Wrestlemania and even more disrespect by not having Carlito there."
He doesn't like the role he has been given, that of a fan favourite, saying, "I absolutely hate being a babyface more than anything else."
So while Carlito is steaming, WWE has put together an intriguing lineup for Wrestlemania, perhaps the best in recent years.
John Cena's title reign could come to an end on the receiving end of a Shawn Michaels superkick. Even more likely is that Batista will lose the championship belt he wears, with The Undertaker keeping his Wrestlemania unbeaten streak alive.
The Money in the Bank Ladder match could be the bout of the night, with Edge, CM Punk, King Booker, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Finlay, Mr. Kennedy and Randy Orton competing. I'm picking Kennedy for the win (with Punk the dark horse).
The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn and Marcus Cor Von) should beat The ECW Originals (Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu and The Sandman).
The Great Khali will survive fire and brimstone and beat Kane. The amazing Chris Benoit will lose to talented MVP. Melina should hang on to her title against Playboy Diva Ashley.
And though Vince McMahon's representative, Umaga, may beat Donald Trump's Bobby Lashley, you have to think referee Stone Cold Steve Austin will ensure that McMahon, The Genetic Jackhammer, goes home bald.
FAME GAME: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, The Wild Samoans, Mr. Fuji, Nick Bockwinkel, Mr. Perfect, The Sheik and Dusty Rhodes will be inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame tonight.
RING BITS: The superb LIVE AUDIO WRESTLING show is now on Sirius through The Score's Hardcore Radio channel ... Carlito on McMahon-Trump: "They've got bad hair, Carlito's got good hair." Would he shave his head? "My hair is not a big part (of my character)," he says. "I would be bald and do what I do ... but I'd ask for a big bonus)."
