...do they keep trying to convince us that Umaga is "nearly" 400 pounds when he is clearly not? I'd say they're about 80 pounds short of that claim.

Eh, it's hyperbole. Every wrestling organization uses it, from Umaga being "nearly 400 pounds", to Abyss being "Near 7 feet tall", to WSX being "good". It's all exaggerations.

He looks a solid 350 to me but, yeah, this is nothing new. People add/cut weight, height, age, skill and talent all the time.

They'll keep sneaking extra pounds in gradually if they think they can get away with it.

Cause the Big Show was 500 lbs Andre was 1000 lbs And Haystacks Calhoun had his own zip code It's supposed to make them more intimidating for their size YET impress us with their speed.

Big Show actually is 500 pounds. Umaga has almost the same build as Rikishi when he in the Headshrinkers. I mean, he barely looks like he's over 315. I'd believe Yokozuna was 1000 pounds before I believe Umaga is nearly 400. It's just a dubious claim, and a blatant one at that.

Bob Holly used to be over 400 lbs, that may have been his own estimation though...

Yeah, he jumped up from 360 to 400 in a month. And on last nights Raw you could see some abs under his belly for the first time.

They push Abyss to be 7 ft...even 6'10 and he's not. At a house show last summer, I stood next to Abyss and he wasn't but a couple inches taller than me and I'm 6'2. They do it simply to make the guys look more intimidating. A lot of wrestlers will wear boots that add an extra inch or two in height too. Anyways, I can't understand why they push him to be about 80 pounds more than he actually is. Gregory Helms is near 300 lbs too though...

seems today that all you have to be is 6'5 or 6'6 to be "damn near 7 feet tall".

Yep, just like when the King said "those steel steps weigh about 150 pounds." Pure BS trying to put something over. It annoys me, but I am just used to it now.
