I think the WWE is incredibly keen on getting James Laurinatis into the company, almost to the point that they'd rather he not have a pro football career. I've already seen an interview where it was stated that when James' career is done, he has an open invitation to the WWE. He's a talented, athletic kid with a great pedigree, but sometimes I wonder if his being so coveted by WWE has as much to do with his uncle being the head of talent relations as it does with his skills. And if it didn't, he'd have that sword hanging over his ehad his entire career. One of the other Laurinatis did tell him to never get in the business. Ever. Might weigh in his decision. I think James would be a dumbass to take a job with Vince. First, your dad...who worked with Vince for years...is advising you not to. Second, you've obviously got a boatload of potential in football (unless you're maurice clarett in disguise)...and third, NFL = more chance for endorsement $$$. WWE = Subway...but only if you're the champ. Oh, and did I mention the "how do you learn to fall of a 20 ft ladder" factor??

why the hell are they hiring someone on how "athletic" they are? hire someone based on how good they are at wrestling. and anyway, they have one of the most athletic people in the world in shelton benjamin, and he's gathering dust on sunday night heat. how athletic was mick foley? how athletic was roddy piper? how athletic was jake the snake? how athletic was stone cold steve austin? yeah, they were in good shape, but these lot werent from "legitimate athletic backgrounds". I'M PISSED NOW! I concur. Athletes who understand ring psychology are a dime a dozen. Plus its more difficult to teach a potential pro wrestler ring psychology then how to fall. This 'pure athlete' route will dig up a dozen Mark Henry's before they stumble across a Kurt Angle.

Yeah.. hire sports athletes.. It's not like there are thousands of people in the indys who'd take the job or nothing. To the WWE, Small thin guys who can wrestle and knwo how to put on a show<big athletic guys who can't.

Lets see would I rather see Human Tornado or Bobby Lashley? Tough Choice. Got to go with the man with the balls of steel! Than the man with no personality.

Man, we need another Rock. Why did he have to get bit by the acting bug so hard? Either that, or somehow teach Khali how to be an amazing technical wrestler. Wait a minute, what the hell did I just say?

When Austin played, it was North Texas State University but, later (the year Austin started training for the ring) it became University of North Texas.
