To me Teddy Hart is what is wrong with professional wrestling today. I don't get why this guy gets booking why? He isn't wort the trouble! Why he's a Hart? To me he isn't he has none of the class and has disrespected the great Hart Family name and spit on what Bret and Owen did.
Plus he isn't a real Hart anyway. He was zero wrestling psychology and has no clue how to put on match without doing very dangerous spots that could really hurt people. I mean I don't mind spot monkeys like Evans and Hardy but at least they do careful spots that don't hurt people. Jumping off of a basketball hoop? WTF! Look back what he did in ROH!
Also he has a bad attitude and has a supreme cockyness about him that he thinks he's better than everybody. Seriously I don't get it. I figured to make this thread to discuss what people like about him and what they disliked about him and get it in one thread to make it more organized.

He seems like a good enough wrestler, if a little on the spot monkey side, but every thing outside of the ring I've ever seen or heard of the guy points to him being a complete jackass just because he comes from a famous family. I dunno, the jury's still out on him as far as I'm concerned, I suppose.

He's really nothing special. He doesn't do anything I haven't seen before done by someone better.

Having met Teddy at an indy show, he came across as a class act. The guy signed autographs for nearly an hour, and took time to speak to fans and have photos taken with them. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and I assure you that everyone else who met him that day will say the same thing - course, it might be put on, but in my experience, he seems a decent enough bloke...which completely contradicts everything I've ever read about him!

I think he's a good Wrestler with a lot of potential to make it big, he makes a good heel as he has that easy to hate factor.

Several things that will come up in this thread that I want to explain:
1) The backflip for no reason. Teddy Hart does a backflip off the top rope at the beginning (i want to say he used to do one at the end too but I can't remember) of each of his matches to honor his late uncle Owen who used to do that when he was The Blue Blazer who he looked up to growing up.
2) Another person he looked up to is the late Brian Pillman. Much like Pillman, Teddy tries to live his gimmick of being a cocky, spoiled brat, who is expecting everything handed to him because of his name.
3) "Teddy is a spot monkey." Find a copy of his match with Danielson from MLW. The first half of this match takes place on the ground and features mostly mat wrestling. Only a few high spots near the end and the match ends with a submission.
4) At least Teddy doesn't come to creative meetings wearing fur coats and gold chains and then proceeds to punk out Arn Anderson (Okay that wasn't a real one but I had to throw some humor in there)

I suppose I can't say much based on my very limited Teddy Hart exposure, but I will say this. I saw him "cut a promo" where every other word out of his mouth was an expletive; don't get me wrong, swearing is fine when it serves a purpose, but when you have to add "f***ing" in front of every adjective for emphasis, I think you might need a new vocabulary.
And that's all I can say, because I've never actually seen him in a match.

He's not terrible, but he's not great either. My opinion tends to change from time to time with him, and honestly, if he'd just suck it up and act like a professional, he could be something pretty big.

CM Punk's LJ rant about him was highly entertaining.

Yes, he's a douche, yes he's a waste of space, but gah damn does that crazy son of a complain and/or rude female do a nice shooting star press. If it wasn't for all the douchery i honestly think he could be one of the top high flyers on the indys. When he's motivated and not in douche mode, he perfectly capable of selling. It really is a shame that he's so nutty, Teddy has all the potential in the world to be amazing.

I hate it when he is reffered to as a spot monkey as Teddy really can mat wrestle brilliantly. I like him as a character with his over cocky attitude. Although I can also see why this attitude gets him into so much trouble. Hopefully he'll grow up soon and realise the awesome potential he has.

5) The fight with CM Punk. If you ask Punk, Teddy gave him lip so he smacked him. If you ask Teddy, he offered his hand to Punk and got smacked in the face. There are 3 sides to every story and there really is only one person who would give an honest answer as to what happened that day and that man is Sabu. He's the one who broke up the fight in the first place.
I asked Sabu about the fight one time and he looked up and pointed to the sky. Hope that clears everything up.

Living the gimmick of being a spoiled brat is just being a douche and he nearly killed himself and put others at risk in the Scramble Cage Melee, and then did two back flips off the cage and threw up. I completly agree with Punk's disdain for this jerk.
