That is the excuse that allows the big man to move to Raw? How long has he been in ECW? Halloween to January 8th? Two months and a few days.
Did they try and cover this up? At all?
I mean, all they have to say is "Paul Heyman signed Davari to a long contract, but Khali to a short contract in order to see if he could convert the monster to the New Breed cause. I mean, would you want someone like that against you? When Heyman left, there was no one to renew the contract." or something about how the backstage person in charge of ECW (When does it get it's own GM?) didn't check the contract.
Or can this somehow be blamed on Teddy Long?

Wasn't Khali on ECW this week? Or am I hallucinating>? I believe it was his last match on the show. Just so that they could end the Dreamer feud...in a disappointing way. I was hoping they would have Davari get Khali DQed(Before it was an Extreme Rules Match) and then the group would break up after a Chokebomb to Davari. The end result helps me to believe that Hogan/Khali could happen.

Why would Khali, whose contract expired and was signed up to a new one, go back to the place where his old contract was expired the day after we found out it had expired? Certainly not to "uphold contractual obligations."
When it comes to ECW.........no one knows what they're doing.
WWE = Morons.

I always assumed since Vince decreed people were free to jump to ECW, that the contracts they had before they jumped were just transferred. So it's not exactly Teddy's fault, except for signing him to begin with.

The same thing happened last year with Kurt Angle. His contract apparently was up on RAW, so he jumped to SmackDown! He appeared at New Year's Revolution and the following two RAWs based on a 'handshake agreement' with Vince McMahon.

Kurt's contract didn't expire, he had a clause that allowed him to compete in any battle royal where a world title was on the line, or something... Super Crazy and Randy Orton's "contracts expired" on Smackdown. Teddy apparently doesn't negotiate extensions.

I like the whole "contract expired" deal. It makes the brand split seem legit.

This does bring up an interesting point. Is Vince McMahon himself running day to day operations of ECW in-kayfabe? He's the one who sent "ECW Representitive" Heyman home, and he has not announced a new represenitive... so unless he named one in secret, he must be booking the matches.
Or maybe Coach? It is unclear if Coach's "Executive Assistant of Vince McMahon" duties only apply to taking care of Raw's booking. This would explain why the person running ECW did not try to resign Khali, because he was also the guy running Raw!

Why not just make Coach the G.M. of Raw ? He is currently the "unofficial" G.M. of RAW ?

Why not just make Coach the G.M. of Raw ? He is currently the "unofficial" G.M. of RAW ? Mr. McMahon is the Interum GM of Raw, Coach is Mr. McMahon's Executive Assistant. After the DX vs McMahons/Show match, McMahon did very little "GMing" on Raw, basically leaving Coach to do that, but he's still in charge. Though really his title of GM is pointless as he can go book stuff on any of the shows if he wants, he's VINCE MCMAHON DAMN IT.
