John Prototype Cena cares! He isn't only about selling merch and making money. The reason that it makes no sense for Umaga to win tonight is because if he wins, then not only would it prove that pro wrestling isn't entertaining anymore but that evil triumphs over what is good and right in this world....always. Nah,just have Prototype Cena defeat Umaga clean..f*** having either of them get a DQ victory! Wow! I applaud you. I've read a lot of your posts, but that middle bit there may be the most inane thing you've ever written.

I so hope that's Edge who keeps joining to kiss Cena's butt.
And Umaga HAS to win tonight. Nothing kills off an unstoppable monster quite like... being stopped. And watching him get smushed by Cena will just be hellish.

If being warriorthug wasn't enough to get him banned, she swore too!
I stand by my original post.

The filters are being tinkered with by ProBoards today, so we'll have to put up with a little rough language. As long as no one abuses it, we'll survive.

I don't like him in the World Title hunt. He seems like a cartoon character. I agree. I can't take him seriously at all.

Is it fair to say that we're in a sad state where we'd rather have 21st Century Kamala with a grill be the champion than deal with John Cena?
This is what long title reigns cause. Just say NO.

racoon? Damn. =(
I don't really see Umaga fitting with the belt (Though I wouldn't have seen Abyss with the belt in TNA if you asked me a few months ago)
But at least just make it a DQ win. That way, Umaga can still be seen as a monster.

I don't think it has to do with long reigns, I think it's just the way they've been handled, everyone pretty much knows what to expect with Cena and how things will turn out, people are just simply tired of it

They don't. And that's in part due to their general habit of not building up the direct undercard. They focus too much on the very next match and not what's going to need to be coming down the pike. Everything seems so disjointed as a result.

Everything seems so disjointed as a result. You think after Ultimate Warrior's total botch of a title reign in the early 90s in which the same thing happened, they would've figured out how to not repeat that. Guess they don't remember their own past, hence why they don't expect the audience to either.

Yeah, this is a kind of 'make it or break it' moment for me.
If Umaga wins, well ... that would be interesting to me.
But otherwise, I won't really have a reason to tune into RAW again for a while, because all I can see after Umaga is Johnny Nitro squashes and Orton/Cena.

Guess they don't remember their own past, hence why they don't expect the audience to either. They can't remember three months ago. You'd think they'd have a business plan that reached further than the next PPV, but I don't think they do. Otherwise, the last WM wouldn't have been a throwaway.

The benefits of Umaga winning the title (and maybe holding it to Wrestlemania) - Smackdown main events Wrestlemania (WWE is at least smart enough not to put Umaga on last). - No John Cena vs Triple H or Randy Orton for the title. - Keeps Cena out of the Royal Rumble (keep his rematch and his spaceship on the undercard). - Gives us a new Raw heel main eventer and balances out with the number of faces (Cena/DX, Rated RKO/Umaga). - A plethora of "he did it for the Rock" jokes.
The cons: - An abnormal character as champion. - Possible build to a Triple H/Umaga program for the title.
Edit* If HBK wins the Royal Rumble, then perhaps things would get mixed up and at Wrestlemania we would have HBK/Umaga (not last), Triple H/Edge (they're building to it) and Cena/Orton (you know they want this to happen).

I absolutely agree that Umaga needs to win tonight. It only makes sense, and Cena doesn't need the push that he'll get from beating Umaga. The problem is, the WWE just doesn't CARE anymore. Everything, everyone, and every angle on RAW, SmackDown, or ECW, is now for the sole purpose of putting over Cena and DX so they'll sell more T-shirts. For as long as Vince McMhaon is stuck in the late 80's mentality of the unbeatable face superhero, the WWE isn't going to change. Ever. Umaga's streak is going to be fed to Cena just like Muhammed Hassan's was. This is where the comment "Vince" makes in Da Green Guy's former sig instantly came to mind. "He's eaten up all my top and mid card stars, he is always feeding..." ;D

You know what? I'll be pissed if the main event ends in a DQ. I'm not staying up until 4am tyo see a DQ finish, an anticlimax.
And I'm not even paying for the damn thing.
