If one thing was proven in this match, it's that Cena could play heel very well.
Just saying since he's entering his 4th year with the same gimmick as a face.

Pretty good back-and-forth match so far (in the midst of watching it).

Good match. And the crowd made it fun. But if they'd only known what was to come...

I like when Cena does things out of his regular arsenal ... he just did a nice trip and fold into the STFU, he countered an RVD move with a great running powerbomb / slam thing, the axehandle over the ring post to the outside. Using the entire five count and not breaking the submission.

I love the guy that spits on the shirt for ages then does a terrible throw, makes me laugh every time.
I love this match, the atmosphere is awesome. Cena earned my respect for not being a wuss like batista and being entertaining.

I repeat for the 1,000th time. My favorite spot was:
*Cena does regular move* Crowd: Same old shit, same old shit! *Cena does top rope move* Crowd: You still suck! You still suck!

I just watched ONS2 for the first time this weekend. My GAWD was that awful in comparison to ONS1. Simply because with ONS1, the birth of WWECW was not right around the corner - it was basically a one-shot revival show. And boy was it wonderfulous. ONS2, however, was painful to behold. Too much WWE in too many places where it shouldn't have been. Eugene had NO business there. And RVD winning was just so awkwardly done I really couldn't see how he was accepted as a dual champ for any amount of time. The shirt throwing segment WAS the best part of the night, though.

Cena's the man.
Batista started crying when the crowd turned on him, you think he would've ever kept throwing the shirt back? Cena played everything off so well, and took a pretty big beating.

Rather than being about ECW like the first ONS, this show was about WWE vs. ECW. And booking Masato Tanaka in a 5-minute loss to Balls Mahoney was daft after Tanaka had the match of the night with Mike Awesome a year prior!

I know. This just proves to me if they let Cena wing it in the ring, especially in cities like Philly, NYC, Toronto, East Rutherford, Buffalo etc. he would be very entertaining. But they try to force us to cheer him and give him incredibly lame comebacks. But Cena could do so much better than what he is given.

I really think a full heel turn for Cena after this would have worked wonders.

I hate this match. It just doesn't feel right. After all the hype and excitement surrounding it, it should have been much more of a back and forth matchup, with a decisive, clear-cut winner. Hell, the headline on WWE.com right after the PPV didn't say "RVD wins the gold!" or something like that, it blatantly said "CENA SCREWED". And that right there is what it was all about.

Boo! Yah! Boo! Yah! Boo Boo Boo Yah!!!!!
That match ruled and as much as I dislike Cena it was the hatred for him that made the match really fun.

This match really made the night, though the ending could have been better Actually, I thought the best, albiet cut short, match of the night was Mysterio vs. Sabu, with Mysterio taking risks we haven't seen out of him in probably over 10 years! And there was no "Holy CRAP!" moment in that whole night like the botched DDT through the table. Although, it didn't matter what happened during that main event as long as Cena lost. They could've put on a horrible match and I still would've been completely into it, I'm just glad they tried to put on a good show.
