No not the baseball movie, who was the rookie of the year? I left in major gimmick changes (ie: Umaga or Kevin Thorn.) I left out the wrestlers that were in WCW or ECW before as thouse are apart of the WWE timeline.

Punk. I mean he was more over than DX at Survivor Series. What other rookies can boast that?

I picked Kenny. I would of picked CM Punk but he already had an established fanbase before he got to the E and was going to be great anyway. Kenny was new, got a lot of airtime, and seems to have a bright future.

I went with MVP, besides maybe Lesnar, I've never been able to get into a new talent as fast as him. It's been over a year and I still can't beleave Lashley is apart of the show, and he's freaking ECW champion.

Jimmy Wang Yang.
He's been a surprise hit from a possible wrestlecrap gimmick.

MVP. Usually, rookies don't produce good feuds when they're injected into a big one but MVP surprised me.

Umaga.
Out of everyone on that list, he is the only one who got in a storyline/feud with his brand's top champion.

jimmy wayne yang- he has a gimmick that should never work, he's been let go before, he's a cruiser weight............ and he still did pretty damn well.
mvp, uuuuuuuuumaga, or cm punk all achieved more, but all had size, a fanbase, or more likely gimmicks to get over.

I dont think its fair to count Umaga or Jimmy Wang Yang Ching Chong Chang as rookies since they both had earlier runs with the company. Just my opinion though.

Other. Finlay.
Yeah, he's been wrestling for a good long while, but he's been a WWE rookie for in ring competition since this year. So definitely Finlay.

So, we're ignoring pre-WWE careers, and prior WWE gimmicks for this?
Jed Shaffer ~Somewhere, there's a King Harley Race joke just waiting to be made.
