But there are far more useless people employed by them. And you don't tell a guy he will have money for life and a job for life then decide to fire him. If they never intended to keep him, then don't make that promise. He WAS doing work for them, like writing and what not. It's not like he came in and sat around for hours on end every day and was paid to do nothing. How do you know they literally told him he was employed for life? Are you a board member or something?!

dr0bz hit the nail on the head... We will never know exactly what Vince McMahon said... As with all the dirt sheets, everything is exaggerated... Maybe Vince just said that they'd keep him employed, but not for life... Maybe Vince never talked to Droz directly about it, we'll never actually know...
Hell, we don't even know if he was officially released...

If this is true, I'm going to take the other side of the coin. Droz competed for the WWE for what, a little over a year? Did he ever draw a single dime? I highly doubt it. That being said, it was a stand-up move on the WWE's part to keep him employed as long as they did. We've all read horror stories of guys being hurt in the indies, and usually those are taken care of by the occasional benefit show, but they're never employed for life by the company they got hurt in. WWE did keep this guy on the payroll, something they didn't have to do. They saw that there was nothing really there for him and did what they had to do, I can't blame them for a second. The WWE can only take so much responsibility for what happens in their rings and on their TV shows, and personally I feel like they have done all they can for Droz. EDIT: And seriously, is this all you guys think Droz can do? What, with all the different companies set up to help people of all disabilities find a way of life, do you really think he's screwed? Speaking engagements can pay pretty damn well. Plus the fact that stephanie's rationale was "well clearly he must be set for life" and it sounds like she didn't even look into that at all and just made the decision in her own fantasy land where her decisions are actually good...well...

I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, but until its on WWE.com, I'm not going to take it as 100% legit.

She's not some cartoonish super-villain. She's worked for the company for a very long time and knows the workers. I doubt she'd just out and fire someone without consideration.

Actually, Droz was fired about 5 years ago. But due to a glitch in payroll, he still received a check every month. Sources say they fixed the glitch.

If Droz got fired by WWE, he'll go to TNA and they'll seem like the good guys.

This illustrates one of the things that kills me about modern big business. A company expects complete loyalty from you, but doesn't give you that same loyalty back. It's ridiculous.

This sucks.
If I were WWE, I'd feel so guilty for doing this. Droz deserved, at least, to be kept on payroll for the rest of his life.

They don't have to pay him for anything. Droz was Puke, then he was part of the LOD. He didn't shift any merch, or sell any ppvs on his name alone. Yes, it's a nice thing to do, but if I was crippled in my work I doubt they'd keep me on the payroll for the rest of my life (and they're a billion pound company.)

If this is true, I'm sure there is a way Droz can sue the pants off of the WWE.
