With the complete overkill of TV time, they need something new, would this be a good idea to bring back, and possibly put new people over with?
If so, who do you think would win?? My money would be on Regal.

My money would be on Regal. No, it would be a TERRIBLE thing to bring back, it caused many legit injuries to the talent and the fans hated it. With that said....who would do well today? Possibly Regal, though I don't see him winning it....possibly Holly, I've heard Burke was an amateur boxer, so, as much as I hate him, probably him too.... All I know is I would MURDER to get a Brawl for All with a circa 1993 Big Van Vader involved.

Heh, yeah i meant to bring it back it's obviously tweaked to make it less crap and more fan-friendly, and yeah i spose the amount of injuries was quite bad. Wasn't it Savio Vega that never wrestled again after it?
I'd love to see an all time tournament, containing the likes of Vader, shamrock, blackman, finlay, meng, severn etc etc etc

MMA is so big now, the fans might not hate it as much as they did in 1998/1999

I'm not really thinking this specifically is the answer, but it might be the way to get some of the mid card talent over. Imagine if someone barely recognised now starts laying people out left right and centre, imnediate gimmick made for life.

If they had to do something like brawl for all again, I would want to see it be more MMA so guys like Finlay and Regal would really put the hurtin on other guys. Regardless, when you have a scripted show having unscripted fights is gunna make someone look bad that the higher ups didn't want to look bad. Take that pluss an injury here or there and its a cluster smurf.

Put Cena in it. Lets show the world what he can do in a real fight.
His first round opponent will be.........Finlay.

Do it and then end it with butter bean again. Maybe this time the winner would last two whole minutes. Real Boxing > fake wrestling. In a real fight of course, not necessarily in entertainment value.

Trouble is that I don't think VInce would know what to do with this, as was the case the last time.
Remember, only 2 guys stood out. 1) Bart Gunn, the guy they likely didn't really want to push (Cause they had no idea what to do with him...course didn't help when Butterbean destroyed him super fast) who was memorable for destroying the competition, and 2) Dr. Death Steve Williams. Memorable for being the guy they were expecting to do well, but got owned by Bart.
Just look at the nightmare over in UFC (From a booking perspective), all their top guys keep getting beat by 'mid carders'. By top guys I'm talking about guys who have been pushed and are recognizable, bankable names.
Plus, the only way fans would really get into a Brawl for All is if some of the major names were a part of it (Cena, Taker, Triple H), which means they either have to make it worked (Which defeats the whole point) or they risk Cena getting shallacked by someone like Davari

i think someone like stevie would win. i mean, think about it: if you were stuck in jobberdom for eternity, and a push-opportunity like this came along, you'd fight to the death. he'll show you. you'll see.

Yeah, just look at how Bart Gunn's career took off...oh wait What they should do to capitalise on the MMA popularity is bring back the Lion's Den match.

What i don't get though is if Dr death won was he sposed to be fighting butterbean too?? cause i don't think they'd want to bury the person the whole comp was about.

What i don't get though is if Dr death won was he sposed to be fighting butterbean too?? cause i don't think they'd want to bury the person the whole comp was about. Steve Williams was/is a legit tough guy and was expected to win the BfA in a walk, which would have led to a push as a badass brawler. Butterbean wouldn't have figured into the storyline. Instead, Bart Gunn won the tournament and started walking around the locker room like his s*** didn't stink. Essentially, putting him in a match at 'Mania with Mr. Bean was management's way of (a) punishing him for screwing up their storyline (he could've cooperated and taken a dive) and (b) giving him a much needed attitude adjustment. In other words, management knew exactly what would happen when they put him out there with Butterbean.
