Well yeah, the other thread was getting too full, and I don't think the talk about this odd new storyline is gonna die down anytime soon, what with SD and RAW going to talk more about this.
Well anyway, keep any discussions relating to this angle in this thread please. That is all.

If Vince planned this thing himself and faked his own death because of the negative comments on his persona by various people on his appreciation night ... then where the hell did he get the bomb so fast (in like under 2 hours) ? Or is it common to have one with you?
I still think it was CHEATUM! He blew up Bulldog´s and Sting´s boat ... and now he´s back!

Notice how his foot goes up and then down again. I think the second foot wasnt his. I agree. That's the first thing my fiancee and I noticed when we watched it again. All things considered, though, they did a pretty good job of splicing in the taped footage so that it was practically seamless.

If you look closely, behind the WWE trailer, was a grassy knoll....

I think Orton did it. He's the "legend killer" right? Maybe he just took it too far this time...

My cousin mentioned there wasn't a back glass in the limo, but after they went to put the fire out, there was a back glass-this has probably been mentioned already, but I didn't catch the last few pages of the old thread

All things considered, though, they did a pretty good job of splicing in the taped footage so that it was practically seamless. Nope, it was all Vince. The shot was practically seamless, yes, but you guys are looking in the wrong place. Vince gets in the limo and closes the door; the cut isn't until the moment the door is latched shut. If you watch it closely (or even frame-by-frame), you can see where the first shot fades into the second one by looking at the back end of the limo. The tail of the car is in just a slightly different place in the second shot, you can see it move forward. It took me a while to figure it out. Other people have said that there was a puddle on the ground that wasn't there before or something, but I haven't looked. All in all, it was a pretty fantastic sequence. If Vince planned this thing himself and faked his own death because of the negative comments on his persona by various people on his appreciation night ... then where the hell did he get the bomb so fast (in like under 2 hours) ? Or is it common to have one with you? He had this planned out. Remember the week before on Raw when he said that, by last Monday, it would all be over?

Oh man, I just turned on Smackdown. This was shown before it started:

Ok. I finally got my internet back and I'm finally getting back into the wrestling groove. Anyway, here's my take on it.
I like the angle and I don't. There's two things with it. First, the bad. I feel the reason they're doing this is simply because it works and it gets sympathy. Now, it's kinda strange how they would want to get sympathy for Vince McMahon saying he's an evil heel, but maybe they're going in a different direction. Anyway, when Eddie Guerrero died, the WWE made it huge financially. I was reading this report awhile back that was pm'd to me (don't know if I still have it) but their "Viva La Savings" campaign the Christmas after Eddie died did huge money, and the whole Eddie thing, as bad as it was, got some great reactions from the crowd. It was sick, and it was bad, but when you look at the bottom line, it was profitable. One could argue that Eddie made more dead then alive.
Now, I'm not saying it's right, not by a long shot. But the reaction to this is similar to when Eddie Guerrero died. Sadly, he's actually dead. I feel they're trying to recreate that sympathy to sell merchandise and sell tickets, which is pretty low, and probably some of the lowest things that could be done.
Now, the good things. Wrestling is shoot based. When something really dumb happens, people will defend it by saying that wrestling is fake, so they can do this. Wrestling Society X was horribe because of that. It's shoot based, so in real life, lasers don't shoot out of people's eyes, and a pink beam of flowers don't encircle Jimmy Jacobs' head when he talks. It's stupid. Like, when Kane was hearing voices, and everyone could hear those voices, that was stupid, because it's shoot based. Or when Randy Orton saw Bob Orton full of blood, then shook his head, Bob was fine. Those things are dumb. So when looking at the angle, you have to think is it realistic. And the answer is yes.
It reminds me of the Pillman/Austin gun angle, which was very controversial, but very well done, because that could really happen. Do you think someone like Brian Pillman, who was crazy as it was, would pull a gun on Steve Austin who's trying to break into his house. I do. Watch the Pillman DVD or get old shows. Pillman's character was crazy, and it wasn't out of the loop that he would pull a gun on someone.
Also, if it goes where I think it's going, it's going to be a who-done-it angle, which I love. I loved the angle of who hit Steve Austin, and despite the critiques, I feel having Rikishi be the man who did it was great. Yeah, he wasn't in the WWE at the time, but does that mean that he doesn't exist just because he's not in the WWE? Because Rikishi wasn't in the WWE, does it mean that he's no longer The Rock's cousin? Yeah, The Rock at the time was second banana to Steve Austin, and Rikishi wanted to help Rock. And also, with Triple H being the one who talked him into it, that's believable too, because who's going to expect Rikishi. No one would think he was in the building or whatever. They gave the hints, like the blonde hair one, and I really liked it. So that could make it good.
So like, I'm split. This angle has a lot of potential, but f***ing with people's emotions like that is not cool. Wrestlers f*** with people's emotions on a daily basis, well, the good ones anyway. But if people legit believe he died, it's not cool.

Also, if it goes where I think it's going, it's going to be a who-done-it angle, which I love. It seems to be both of those. Like the Higher Power reveal to make him more hated. "You all thought I was dead! Haha stoopid fans. Appreciate me yet?" type thang. Personally I'd rather they had this week of "mourning" and actually keep the character of Mr. McMahon killed off but it's very unlikely. Failing that McMahon killing himself to get away and being found somewhere because he's sick of it all. ...Or he has cancer.

I find it disturbing that they have Vince's "death" right on the main part of the home page but they have Sherri Martels death on the bottom of the page.

They never, Never have had the Deaths as a main part of the webpage. All the wrestlers who have died get the bottom left. Why should this be any different?
