After what's happened the last few days, for the first time ever I was almost ready to stop watching wrestling.
Thank God Roddy Piper made his ECW debut tonight. I almost laughed til I almost started crying again. I only have one thing to say:
Happy Birthday Mark!
Thanks Hot Rod!

YeaH i really think a lot of wrestlers are going to step up there game for one reason or another in theses passing weeks. Its sadly going to be a few weeks of very good wrestling for the worst possible reason.

The 'healing process' certainly did begin in earnest.
Thanks Roddy (and Matt/Mark). I needed a good laugh.

When he showed up, I thought YES, the perfect example of the OPPOSITE of what the media is reporting.
A older wrestler whose completely fine and ready to put on a show. I was also thinking of how this man overcame cancer and will be giving us MANY more memories.

My smurfing Comcast package at home doesn't have Sci Fi. What did I miss? Piper came out and started rambling like he usually does then Striker came out with a birthday cake and asked Piper to sing Happy Birthday for him so he had the crowd sing with him then he stopped because he said he forgot his name and they threw the cake in his face. typical Piper. glad he showed up id imagine to try and cheer up the people a little bit. In the First MAtch, Nitro and Cena Wrestled and of course it was a typical Cena matchwhere he was dominated early on then beat Nitro withthe STFU. and themain event was actually decent considering the circumstances of the recent events and Punk beat Burke in a 2 out of 3 falls matchto be the #1 contender. Pretty much tonight in a nutshell. Oh LMFAO at the sig by the way!

Piper put a genuine smile on my face. He's inspiring; a man who looked cancer in the eye, then raked those eyes, and gave that cancer son-of-a-bitch a piledriver. I'm glad to see him back.

I thought this whole segment was hilarious, both from Hot Rod and Striker.
"Let sing Happy Birthday for the Mark." "Matt. My name's Matt. Its on the cake."

Piper is a massive asset to the WWE so lets hope they keep him on air. I think he'll do a fantastic job in ECW in a general manager role.

I was really glad Piper showed up and made me laugh and Cena/Nitro's showing was pretty good. I now want to see what they'll do on SmackDown.

I wonder if this was a once-in-a-while deal like it usually is with him, or if he has any intention of staying. Unlikely, to be honest.

I thought it was funny that he kept referring to Striker as "Mark" or even "the Mark". Great use of smark terminology that would be funny to even the uninitiated.
