You know, I'll sound silly for saying this.....
but what does a "Road Agent" do anyway?

They are assaigned to matches, and they help the people in them get ready, and then report how the match went, if anyone did very good, or of someone was not doing things properly, ways they need to improve, etc..

They're the liaisons between the corporate suits/creative team and the wrestlers. They also produce the shows and make sure they run as smoothly as possible.

"If you're on a highway and Road Agent goes beep-beep! Just step aside, or you might end up in heap! Road Agent, Road Agent runs on the road all day. Even the Cena can't make him change his ways. Road Agent, that Cena's after you! Road Agent, if he catches you, you're through! Road Agent, that Cena's after you! Road Agent, if he catches you, you're through! That Cena is really a crazy clown! When will he learn that he never can mow him down? Poor little Road Agent never bothers anyone. Just running down the road is his idea of having fun!"

Usually they're experienced wrestlers the younger guys can come to for advice on what would work well in a match or what would be a good finish on TV.

And road agents usually travel the house show schedule and see how guys do over time.

at a time i think they had a purpose. they were to help both wrestlers come up with a finish that made sense. something about psychology.......and how it plays in a match......but nowadays there is no psychology. and the finish is all done by whomever writes the scripts.
