Even for a one hour show ECW has very small roster. And while they have some upper mid-card wrestlers, they have no main eventers. I pose this question to everyone here: Who would you send to ECW? And here's a list of the active wrestlers to help you figure out who to send.
Wrestlers:
Balls Mahoney - face Boogeyman - face CM Punk - face Elijah Burke - heel Johnny Nitro - heel Kevin Thorn - heel Marcus Cor Von - heel Matt Striker - heel Nunzio - tweener Stevie Richards - tweener The Miz - heel Tommy Dreamer - face Viscera - heel
Pretty small, isn't it? I'll list my own choices later, but first I want to see what everyone else thinks.

That'd be cool. Regal, NICK DINSMORE, NOT EUGENE, and Helms when he gets back.

That'd be pretty cool. Cruiserweight scene kind of needs him, though. I'd have Chavo bring the title over to ECW, along with the division. Smackdown isn't using it. Maybe the Highlanders, since you know they aren't gettign anywhere near the title scene.

Ryan O'Reilly from the old DSW. I heard they were thinking on bringing him up anyway.
Colt Cabana would be a good babyface to put in there.
Paul Birchill would be a great heel to put in there.
As for main eventers, they're in a bind. If you take away the main eventers from the other shows, the other shows will be bare. The main eventers on the others show (injured or not) are:
Raw:
John Cena Randy Orton King Booker Bobby Lashley Shawn Michaels Triple H Mick Foley (not regularly)
Smackdown:
Edge Batista Rey Mysterio The Undertaker
I'd put Mick Foley, if he wanted to work every Tuesday instead, on the ECW brand to help them out maybe.

There was also a rumour that Armando Estrada would have a stable there with Ryan O'Reilly. So maybe bring him in with Estrada, and have Estrada bring in other guys from developmental like Antoni Polaski (Roadkill), Mike Mondo and maybe Chet the Jet.
Colt Cabana would be a perfect babyface. Maybe bring in G-Rilla as a babyface to feud against Viscera.

Maybe the Highlanders, since you know they aren't gettign anywhere near the title scene. I'm starting to think that the titles should be tri-branded as well, or at least some of them. I think the only titles should be as follows: Undisputed Championship (merged Raw and Smackdown main titles), Intercontinental Championship, ECW Championship, Cruiserweight Championship, and Women's Championship. Each championship could be defended on any brand, thus increasing the match possibilities.

you seem to have read my mind. I don't know who would fit without looking too out of place. And they probably would put the bekt on that person without giving the guys on the show... wait wait wait. If they want to use this as a developmental thing they need to look like they are not apart of the WWE. What i mean by that is to make the brand look like it's not a developmental place. All of the names you listed can be the top guys if booked right. We all know the obvious choices, but the need to believe in the guy they are putting the belt on. Taz and Joey can do an awesome job putting the guy over if they let them concentrate on what's in the ring.
Everyone jokes about Stevie Richards, but the jokes are rooted in fact. Richards is one of the best workers on the whole roster. He could be the top guy and we'd believe it. No matter how many times he looses to punk lol.
Tommy could be the top guy as the ECW vet and you have to go through him to prove yourself. But the ECW is only ECW by name unless they have a DVD to sell.
ECW doesn't need incoherent monsters that aren't capable to wrestle. Monsters should be enforcers that are used by the top guy (heel) to help him win.
Lashley turning heel would have worked but Cor Von fills that spot. They wasted the opportunity during the whole Vince as champ thing.
I'm not gonna analyze the whole list because the problems have been discussed over and over again.
And to address the original question. I would love to have Cade and Murdoch or not have MVP Burke on the same show but have them have a friendly competition if shows have to interact with each other. Bring the Sandman back and put Super Crazy back on there.
Second City Saints!?
smurf it, hire Ariel back and put Melina on ECW and let them beat up the Extreme Expose girls and I'll be happy.
If Nitro put a purple strap on the ECW belt then everything is right wit the world. And make Nitro say, "ECW is the sexiest brand in the WWE"

Colt Cabana: When CM Punk turns heel, bring him in as CM's goofy sidekick and then push the f*** out of these guys leading to Colt turning face on CM thus giving us a feud of the ages.
Rey Mysterio: With no Benoit, they need an orignal who is still very over and is a big enough name to help ECW out, also, since Rey is a vet he can help the newer talent.
Ace Steele: Second City Saints, need I say more?
Super Crazy: Well, he no longer has Masters to job to him... might aswell use him where he's home.
Also, he's already on the roster, they need to push Tommy Dreamer, he's going to be eternally over and he bleeds ECW, sure it's only ECW in name nowadays but making Dreamer a big name will really help out it's legitmacy. When I think of the spirit of ECW I don't think of RVD or Sabu, I think Tommy Dreamer. Push. This. Man!
Umaga: He's done all there is to do on RAW, and this is a big guy who can really work with almost anyone and would be great as another unstoppable monster. Plus I imagine he would work wonders with peopel like Cor Von.
Simon Dean/Nova: Original, Veteran, amazing heel, great mic skills and I hear he's a trainer anyway, so team him with Stevie, push them big time and use them to coach the younger talent whilst stealing the show.

They should get rid of all heavyweights and go to a cruiserweight only format. A show-up to TNA's X-Division (complete with video game style no selling)

I would rather kill myself and my family than wrestle on the ECW brand.
