....Austin's 2001 heel run is never mentioned/covered ever. In that speech before McMahon blew up he dissed Vince something vicious but conveniently left out was the month or so he kept hugging him when Angle was around. Another thing is, they never mention anything he did with the Alliance.

Because it kinda backfired on them. The crowd didn't wanna hate Austin, heel or not, so they cheered his every move anyways. The only thing he did during that run that got legit heat was beating the crap out of JR, which is heat no matter who does it.

Because it kinda backfired on them. Which is really the number one reason anything never gets mentioned or gets retconned.

Didn't he beat up Spike during the Spike/Molly love story? Or was that the wrong year? I think that got some heat.

Yea the heel thing didn't work out too well so I guess that is why they don't mention it. I just watched his Judgment Day 2001 match vs Taker and it's really funny to watch. He flipped off the crowd and they cheered him for it. Then he smashed Taker with a chair and people chanted for him.

I remember that and the only reason the Spike thing got any heat at all was because of how over the Spike/Molly angle was. ...which they dropped bizarrely. . .. like Spike's not gonna feud with Hurricane. .. .I'd kick Hurri's ass if he stole Molly from me.

Of course, the irony is, once Austin came back as a babyface (for no reason) he was less over than Rock and Trips! Ironyyyyy.

I don't think that Vince wants the Alliance and that mess to be mentioned ever.
When the decade ends, and people look back at the storyline smurf ups, from David Arquette, to Angle vs Joe, and the one that will be on top is the Alliance.
