I must say I'm rather pleased with how Coachman is settling into his role as Raw authority figure. He's the exact opposite of Teddy on Smackdown - where Teddy is loud and obviously biased towards the faces, Coach is quiet and clearly favors the heels. He's subtly malevolent - doing eeeeevil stuff like booking Cena and Candice against Umaga and Cadoch for no reason at all, and never feeling the need to cut promos explaining himself or talking up how big a jerk he is.
Most people will probably think he'll never be able to follow Vince unless he gets flashier, but I think he's doing a really nice job by being a totally different kind of nefarious authority figure than his boss was.
Props to Coach.

Agreed. Coach is the "snivelling brain" who with absolute power, can be quite dangerous. Simply because his weakness-cowardice-really doesn't harm him. But still, I like it. He should have the Grish as his Chief Henchman.*
*Not really, but I'd mark.

I agree, Coach is good in his role. I don't know if I'd say I like him, but I'm not really supposed to. He serves his purpose well.

I need to see more of Coach, I NEVER liked Coach, but I need to see some newer RAWs with him and this quiet malevolance you speak of.

I always did like Coach. I love that cocky attitude and his entrance music. He is the MAN!

I like Coach and especially enjoyed him tonight. The whole "choosing a worthy opponent" for Cena worked well as it seemed "just" from his viewpoint, but the crowd knew he'd pick a "no good heel" like Randy Orton instead of a Jeff Hardy or whoever.
Still, I miss guys like Regal, Foley and Bischoff.
With that said, Coach is LEAPS AND BOUNDS above Teddy Long and Icky Vicky. Then again, he could stay that way by showing up drunk. Actually wait, any drunken GM = ratings.

I don't like him. He'd be better as a heel manager IMO.
He lacks the credibility to be an authority figure.
