this looks like some old nwa booking, letting the heel win over the face...wow, what a concept. It's crazy. So crazy it just might work.

I was suprised w/ kennedy/lashley. I though WWE was focused on making Lashley Goldberg II, but this proved me wrong.
Only thing I missed was WGTT and jeff hardy.

I miss Raw for the first time in a month, and it involves CARLITO BEATING CENA?!? I hate my life haha. That's so freaking awesome though, maybe Carlito will finally ascend the ladder, he's one of the best on the roster.

Yeah, I agree. A really enjoyable show. I agree. Now let me go onto pwtorch's Raw Reax to see what some perfectionists found wrong with it. .... Ah, of course. The ones that are good mysteriously don't see the reax published.

Pretty good RAW tonight. Nice to see Cody pick up his first win, and LOVED the Chad Patton/Santino/Umaga segment.

Yes, any RAW in which both Lashley and Cena job CLEANLY is golden in my book.

Lashley and Cena LOSING makes up for whatever shortcomings the show had. They make it up BIG TIME.

Its been the best booked Raw in a very long time. I was shocked that Kennedy won clean and I liked the way the Carlito/Cena match ended. Plus Carlito spitting in Cenas face was classic.

I saw only the first hour, but I marked out over so much of the activity. Freakin' Carlito and Kennedy shouting match, let alone the kick-ass opening promo, then the women's match, and a couple of other things. This was a good RAW this week.

Anyone else mark like no one's business when Carlito pinned Cena???
After the Backstabber, I went "oh shit, oh shit, oh shit..." Then I counted WITH the ref, while saying "yes, pin that mother f***er!!", and after the 3 count, I jumped off of my couch and did a "Woooo!" that was 10x better than Ric Flair ever could (but still not nearly as good as Owen's) and partied like a blarghstar!!
And then the vintage apple spit, hell yeah!! Thank you Vince, you made me love Carlito again...

Then I counted WITH the ref, while saying "yes, pin that mother smurfer!!", and after the 3 count, I jumped off of my couch and did a "Woooo!" that was 10x better than Ric Flair ever could (but still not nearly as good as Owen's) and partied like a blarghstar!! And then the vintage apple spit, hell yeah!! Thank you Vince, you made me love Carlito again... Guilty of this, too. "1, 2, 3! Where's your miracle now, Cena?!" Then the apple spit. I like Cena, and I still loved it. Great Raw. The low point of the show, in that Cryme Tyme's auction went on too long, wasn't even bad. It was still pretty good.

Quick note:
I loved how Cena seemingly "called out" the writers.
"We all know how this is gonna end. It's been the same since last September!"

Two straight weeks of EXTREMELY solid RAW. Relieved to hear that it sounds like Jeff Hardy actually DID have a reason for not being there, and hoping Lashley heals up. I thought he looked a little more solid than usual against Kennedy last night......plus, way to man-up with that injury.

I can't believe you all thought this was a solid RAW. Are you out of your minds?! It started off great. It ended well. But the filler in the middle was wretched. Cryme Tyme vs. jobbers? Really? That was fun? Cryme Tyme selling boots for WAY TOO LONG? Really? That was entertaining?
How about Orton Vs. Slaughter? Anyone sit through that?
How about Cody vs. an outcome as inevitable as the Slaughter match?
How about King vs. King vs. advanced age?
Perfect, this was not.

Not every match has to have a shocker ending. Hell, who here called Carlito, especially with a win without Orton even touching him? Hell, even Kennedy's win was a shock. That's plenty.
Cody's match was very solid. A sick DDT and perfect punches. Would've been better without the stipulation, but so what?
Slaughter match was a gimme, but it put more heat on Orton, so it served a purpose. Plus, Slaughter sold it like Orton killed him.

No it wasn't perfect, but not every week can have a card full of top quality matches, else you will have nothing left for the PPVs. Cryme Tyme squashing jobbers was simply an excuse for them to go out and sell their merchandise, Orton vs. Slaughter was meant for Orton to gather more heat, and Rhodes got his contract. Everything had a purpose.

Okay I guess if we're going by the "everything had a purpose" standard this was an above-average RAW. But if I personally am going to judge this by the snooze factor I'd say I was bored a lot of the time. (The two big wins were refreshing though. Not trying to take away from those.)
