I knew it was Jericho, only because of the Internet.

i knew who it was and since he was my favorite wrestler in wcw i was really looking forward to raw that night. thats when i started watching mainly wwf instead of wcw. i remember seeing FAKE photoshop pictures of the game wrestlemania 2000 which hadn't come out yet which had him in it but with the name EXCALIBUR on some site (it may or may not have been rahjah) this was a couple of weeks before he debuted. yes I was also going to mention the Excalibur name,I believe it was WZ that reported. I did know he was going to debut that night, and hated knowing, same as The Big show, and radicals. Damn internet Oh also want to mention back that year Big Show was rumored to debut as TITAN, anyone remember that? I DO remember Titan.

I remember this as well, and the night that Wight lost his loser leaves WCW match, Bischoff referred to Nash as a "Titan" and a "Corporate Giant", in order to try to make it look like Vince stole the "Titan, the Corporate Giant" idea from him...

I didn't read sites like this back then, so Jericho debuting was a HUGE surprise. Probably the best debut I've ever seen. I almost wish I could go back to being that surprised again.

I was 15 and knew it was him, but only because the internet told me. I didn't however know who he was other than seeing him a few times on wcw and reading an article in wcw magazine that told me he likes to wear Boxer-Briefs. Was a great debut though. Does he? Nice. Wait, uh, it was a cool debut. Surprised me and stuff.

This was back in the day before I had the internet, good times.
Was marking like f*** when his name came up on the Tron.

I didn't watch WCW at all really, but knew who Jericho was a little bit, so did everyone know the countdown clock was for him? I'm sure the "smarks" did, but I was only 11 back in 1999 and didn't use these "internets." So was it a surprise only to me? My cousin claimed/turned out to actually know, but I didn't believe him cuz I was kind've a jerk back then. Though, the fact that he wrongly identified Dalip "Great Khali" Singh in LONGEST YARD as being Giant Gonzalez a few years later made me feel a little better about it. ;D

I knew it was him. It was fairly common knowledge back then so I`m quite surprised to see so many people saying that they had no idea.
Then again I`m forgetting that it was a while ago and lots of people that are on here were young and unaware of the whole internet wrestling scene.
Man time flies.

WWF.com talked about sigining him on the website and Chrisjericho.com had a blog that said "Make sure you watch Raw this monday." So yeah, I knew.

Yeah, because of the dirtsheets, I knew he was debuting, but didn't know the whole clock thing was for him. I was a HUGE Jericho mark during WCW, so him coming to WWF was like a dream to me.

I knew it was him, cuz I was on the intarweb. So it was no big shock. That was such a great night. Jericho debuted on Raw, and over on Nitro Hogan came back out in the red and yellow.
