Hey, just a bit of history if someone wouldn't mind filling me in.
Basically in 99 i was way too young to have TV so didnt get to see any raw etc.
Was reading back what happened in the PPV's today and something bugs me that i'm sure that someone will be able to clear up.
Summerslam, mankind defeats stone cold and HHH to win the title.
At the next PPV, HHH wins a six pack challenge for the vacant WWE title.
What i'd like to know is, how did mankind lose it, how did it become vacant, basically that months action regarding the title.
Regards.

Mankind lost it the next night on Raw to Triple H, McMahon beat Triple H on Smackdown for it, McMahon vacated the title, and the 6 pack challenge was held at Unforgiven.

I believe he lost it to HHH on the next raw. I didn't get to see RAW at the time but a friend taped this episode for me.

All I remember is at summerslam steve austin didnt want to drop the belt to HHH(who can blame him. So he droped the belt to Mankind. So the next night on raw triple h beat foley for his first title(correct me if i am wrong) This was the time I started to stop watching wrestling at least wwf.
I don;t know how it got to the six pack challenge thou, sorry.

It has to be noted that not long after Trips won it again, Big Show won it at Survivor Series, which I will ALWAYS mark the hell out for because Big Show was champ around the time I started watching WWE and I'm a Big Show mark.

Yes it actually did happen that way i remember that. didnt this happen on smackdown? Yep, thanks to Austin, Vince McMahon beat Triple H for the belt on Smackdown who then vacated the title on Raw for the six pack challenge. To get his spot in the match, Triple H then had to beat the majority of the other superstars: Rock, Mankind, Kane, The Big Show and at the time Undertaker's 'specialty' matches on Smackdown. The Rock - Brahma Bullrope match Mankind - Boiler room brawl (I think) Kane - Inferno match The Big Show - Chokeslam match Undertaker - Casket match Undertaker refused and got suspended indefinately so Mideon and Viscera were put in his place which Triple H couldn't win because he had to put both in the coffin. And lost to Big Show because he couldn't lift him. And in the main event against the Rock, British Bulldog as guest referee helped Triple H get the win - and as such was rewarded with Undertaker's place in the Six Pack Challenge.

the thing is, triple H want to beat the number of world titles won. That's why he like to drop the belt to somebody only to regain it a few days/week/months later. He did that a million time. Then he can make people believe he put over some guys sometimes.
