I know this has been done elsewhere before & wasn't really successful, but the WWE has always taken other organization's gimmicks and done great with them.
Randy Orton & Carlito appear to be forming some sort of faction. Orton is a 3rd generation wrestler & Carlito is a 2nd (or is it 3rd?).
Why not turn Cody Rhodes heel......find another 2nd generation star......have Lacey Von Erich as their valet.
They can run rampant on RAW: Orton as the main event guy. Carlito as the mid-carder (IC Title) guy. Rhodes & ________ can go after the tag team titles. Von Erich can be trained while being a valet & eventually go after the Women's Title.
They could be similar to a Four Horsemen faction....and eventually, great feuds could develop when Rhodes turns face ......

and feud with the 2nd Generation Hart Foundation. I think being 2nd generation is cool, but not super special anymore. Not enough to warrant stables anyway.

Stables suck now that there is a brand split, there isn't enough workers to go around.

Orton wouldn't degrade himself like that.

Maybe some other time, but let Cody try out being a face for longer.
As long as they remember that no one cheers for rollups and no finisher.
Santino, we're looking at you.

I cant honestly think of any time in the history of ProWrestling that a stable of Second Generation guys (or girls) got over. It's always sucked.

Orton wouldn't degrade himself like that. Yeah! He can find his own ways of degrading himself!

This assumed WWE portrays all of these wrestlers as second generation wrestlers. Two of the last three second generation wrestlers who have debuted for WWE have not been portrayed as second generation wrestlers.

Within the next year, we will have a roster with a large percentage of 2nd and 3rd generation Wrestlers.
Harry Smith, Teddy Hart (technically), Randy Orton, Ted DiBase Jr., Mike DiBiase, Joe Hennig, Nattie Neidhart, Umaga, Deuce, Cody Rhodes, Lacey Von Erich, Rey Misterio, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Carlito and Eddie Colon.....
I think there are a few more ProSpawn in developmental but I'm not sure.

I think there are a few more ProSpawn in developmental but I'm not sure. Also, Jesse aka Ray Gordy is a second generation wrestler. Also, Umaga's uncles were wrestlers, but I don't know that his mother or father wrestled, so I don't know that he's a second generation superstar, despite having a brother, two uncles, and many cousins who have wrestled. Also, what do you mean that Teddy Hart is "technically" a second generation wrestler? I guess I could understand someone making an argument that Deuce is only legally a second generation superstar or something, but what puts Teddy Hart's status in question? Actually, if WWE uses the same standards they used with the Rock, he should be called a third generation wrestler. Teddy's father and maternal grandfather wrestled, which is exactly the same roots Rock had.

TNA tried it, it sucked.
But then again their stable was Erik Watts, David Flair, and Brian Lawler.

Thats why I said "technically". And I shouldve said Misterio on a technicality also, his Uncle Wrestled, not his Father. And I would have swore that Umaga was a second gen, but I guess not.

Teddy's dad wrestled.
Cody does not need to go heel. He's one of the few faces that gets pops, and he's already over. Keep in mind this is within 10 tv appearances. A heel turn would do nothing for him but kill his momentum, and not to mention it wouldn't make any sense.
Uncles can count for second generation wrestlers. It's a really broad definition, so unfortunately it's left for people to decide whether they are or not. I consider myself one of the more knowledgeable fans about it, and I consider Umaga one personally.
