If you're as big a geek as I am, you probably know about the existence of the type of character known as a "mary-sue" ("gary-stu" is a common male term), in which they are usually very powerful and not-believable, or just lack faults. So I found an online litmus test ponylandpress.nfshost.com/ms-test.html that determines how much of a mary-sue a character is, and I took it with some WWE superstars in mind. When I gave John Cena the test, I got a 39 for him- but that might not be the same score for you, because I put a check by the "attractive without working at it" option taking into consideration his popularity with young girls.

The only Mary-Sue is Cena.
Everyone else at least has a fault somewhere.

Cena has tons of flaws. We're just not supposed to notice them.

I don't want this thread to turn into Yet Another Cena Discussion, so I'll mention that the Undertaker scored a 70.

But part of that test is YOUR character, so it really can't work out seeing as you didn't create Undertaker.

The test can't tell if I made the character or not.

I thought this was about a woman named Mary suing someone in the WWE. LOL! I thought this thread would be about the insane amount of WWE fanfic out there involving the fat/lonely-hearted teenage girls who write such stories where they win their handsome hero (either Cena or Matt Hardy most of the time).

Yeah, Mary Sue usually refers to the fault of Fanfic authors of inserting an alter ego into the story as a Adonis like charachter with no major flaws. It's more of a problem with Amatur writters more than a character problem. One of the many reasons why reading fanfic is a waste of time for everyone above the age of 21.

Mary Sues aren't exclusive to fanfics. Hell, you could make an argurment Tarzan and Peter Pan are Mary Sues(Or Marty Stus, as some say of guys.)

I read one that was a high school alternate universe kind of thing, I've seen a few that are John Cena/Randy Orton meet and fall in love with someones brother/sister, one really disturbing HHH/Randy thing in which they were lovers and Trips had AIDS, and one with Alex Shelley and Austin Aries doing...well...use your imagination.
It's scary world out there for wrestling fic. I like to think maybe I could change it at some point, but I probably wouldn't be able to. File it under "subjects best left unexplored".

At one point, Bret Hart seemed like one, though he had played a dirty heel before this point. I would say Hogan was one, but he fought dirty sometimes, like slamming people on tables (i.e. Harley Race and Earthquake) and hitting Dibiase with a chair at WMIV to help Randy win the title. Bob Backlund was pretty close at one point as well.

The truly sucky thing about WWE fanfic is that all the GOOD ones - the fantasy booking ones where the author spends ungodly amounts of time coming up with unbelievably entertaining storylines and wrestling descriptions - immediately get shoved to the bottom so that all the teenyboppy chicks can write their "John Cena Loves Me" story.
