I really do believe Summerslam was going to be completely built around the Jackass match with the rest being filler.
It's sure the only way to explain how mediocre this PPV was.

if they were included, it may have brought a second coming of the attitude era. without them they have no hope. they are wrestling.

Nothing happened of any value at this Summerslam, at all. The matches weren't even that great. It leads me to believe that they were hoping the Jackass gimmick match would have entertained us enough for the rest of the card to just be sloppy. Everyone would be at the "water cooler" the next day talking about that match, forgetting about the rest of the card.

no this killed it: I have to say- yes Rey was fat, but his match was still better than just about anything else on the show.

Meh, that probably would've made my decision to not order it a lot easier if those guys showed up.

I'd have ordered it if Jackass were featured.

Naw, pretty much all the wrong people winning there titles killed it. Espically Cena retaining AGAIN. I mean for real this is just getting crazy and stupid. I aint exagratting or being some "smark" whos just gotta complain. Its just straight bullcrap that he retains time after time and just kills the crowd just about everytime...

No. The Jackass guys pulled out about a month ago, that's plenty of time to re-book.
If anything, the Jackass thing would have only bogged it down. I know it's 'in' right now apparently to say everything the WWE does is going to bring about the New Attitude Era, but I really fail to see how Jackass could have ended any way but a disaster, especially given the way things happened the last time they showed up and given this past year's track record of shitty celebrity guest spots.
Instead, it was just another nondescript, ho-hum PPV. Not surprised. Yeah, nothing interesting happened on SS. The same can be said about lats year's SS, and the last 2 Wrestlemanias and a bunch of other recent PPVs.

Cena is also the reason why my pants are so tight and why it gets so hot in the summer. Cena also masterminded the holocaust and directed Batman & Robin.
