I do dobut WWE is gonna fall to number 2 anytime soon. ......Unless the only people left are the cruisers and divas. I can see all the suspended people and Vince Russo leaving their companies to create 'Ring of Glory 2.0'. 'OHMGAZ! MR. KENNEDY HAS HOLD OF THE 'MONEY IN THE CROSS!' OH MY GODZ! HE JUST BEAT UMAGA FOR THE TITLE SHOT! THE HEAVYWEIGHT FAITH CHAMPION FUNAKI BETTER WATCH OUT!' LOOK OUT! IT'S THE APOSTLE JOHN HENNIGAN! WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?! HE'S CRUCIFYING UMAGA! OH THE INHUMANITY!

I hate PWtorch but I guess it's safe to say that they can't be making this one up. WWE News WWE News: WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt speaks on suspensions, says more may come Aug 30, 2007, 21:12 Email This Article - Printer Friendly Page - Back to Main Listing Greta Van Susteren interviewed WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt tonight on her "On the Record" program on Fox News Channel. McDevitt talked about meeting with investigators regarding Signature Pharmacy clients who were contracted WWE performers. McDevitt said they told Albany, N.Y. authorities that if they confimed the information, they would act on it. Once confirming the shipments, Vince McMahon acted on it. Van Susteren asked if the wrestlers would be suspended without pay. McDevitt said that's the case. McDevitt said there may be two more suspensions tomorrow. He said they have to talk with the talents to confirm information first. He said that talent has been told the will be publicly identified in the future. "It's a fair notice issue to us," he said, regarding why they aren't revealing names today of those suspended. "We do that in the belief that it will give greater transparency to the program and hopefully operate as a deterent to anybody who wishes to engage in this activity." McDevitt said this is not just a WWE problem. He said Signature Pharmacy was sending drugs to policemen, firemen, and pro athletes. He said he heard the NFL would be coming out with an announcement in the next few days. He said, "What you're going to find is that the drug of choice, if you will, for any athlete who wants to avoid a drug testing policy is human growth hormone which there is no test for. And it's a problem all leagues have, it's a problem we have, it's a problem anybody has who is engaged in drug testing. There's no scientific method to detect when an athete takes human growth hormone." Possibly 2 more stars suspended tommarow...let the speculation begin...AGAIN! Suspensions: The new firings. Word.

It is good for the WWE to step up a bit more, but I can see people jumping all over them saying that they are pushing too hard to enhance the wellness policy
They can never win.
But I want to raise a question, why single out the WWE not elsewhere? Prime example... in the last week or two, 6-8 soccer (football) players have been struck down with heart attackers/other health issues which have resulted in complications or even death...See Antonio Puerta/Clive Clark.
Just to elaborate on the issues involved in football (soccer)
Quoted from Ephriam Longworth from redandwhitekop Forum;
In the last week;
16 year old in lower leagues - dies Puerta - dies clarke - seriously ill 16 year old in sweden - dies Nsofwa - dies.
My point is, why did no one jump over this? The crisis hanging over football (Soccer) is even larger (at this moment in time) than wrestling.

As I was going to say in the first thread, if you think about it, most of the majors WWE storylines are pretty much safe, except the John Morisson/CM Punk thing and what to do with Cena. I mean: -They can still continue the Triple H/Carlito angle since neither of them are on that list, -They can easily continue the "McMahon lost child" storyline; they only have to wait an additional 2 weeks for the big reveal if they still wanna go with you-know-who as the "bastard". - The Undertaker-teasing thing with Mark Henry is safe, All they got to do really is resolve the ECW title situation (by maybe giving it to CM Punk or something), make Umaga drop the IC title to maybe Jeff Hardy and have John Cena avenging his dad by taking out Orton for a while and maybe have Snitsky or something challenge Cena for the belt at Unforgiven afterwards. It can easily be done. But this means Cena STILL holds onto the title, instead of dropping it to Orton like he was rumored to do at Unforgiven.

Not another boom period (we got 15-20 years left on the cycle) but new faces maybe. Probably not like the above mentioned HBK, Hart swing because 30 days isn't that long. 15-20 years? where does that come from? You know the cycles of the boom periods of wrestling? The period may be shorter but for it to reach mainstream porportions again will take a while.

so, I was away for a few hours. No official word yet on who? So speculation from all the sites are people like Morrison, Umaga, Kennedy and Orton. Those are the big four.

Anyway, this could be the best thing to happen to WWE, being forced to push their younger, smaller talent. It opened doors for Bret, Shawn, Owen, Perfect etc....We could see a boom period coming soon, but this is prolly just me being optimistic lol Here's the thing though. I equate guys like Edge, Kennedy, Chavo, Rey, Charlie Haas, Shane Helms, John Morrison,William Regal and Benoit with Owen, Bret, Shawn, Perfect, etc. Really really really talented guys who deserved all the chances to make it. Now, seeing how these guys don't deserve it makes me really upset. It's not just the big guys being targeted, so no good can come from this. Why couldn't the list have been Mark Henry, Batista, Khali, Snitsky and Masters. That I would believed in a heartbeat and it would give us good television. By the way: Anyone notice how Hunter is NEVER suspected or mentioned?

You can't believe everything someone not directly with the company is saying. I do believe he took them, but we could be all wrong.

Again you post something that's degrading a guy. Even if you don't like him it's silly. If they don't protect Orton or Morrison, why protect Cena? I truly do believe Cena wouldn't take the low road. He seems like a stand-up guy.
