The fact that, except for about a brief 2 year period in the late 80's, he's always sucked as a wrestler, and as a promo guy, he's only slightly worse than the Warrior? Honestly, why are people letting nostalgia color their perceptions of talent? I always knew what he was saying which is why it was funny... I never had a damn clue what Warrior said, which makes Sid a zillion times better... Besides, Sid isn't really a crazed lunatic... He just played one well... Warrior really is batcrap crazy. Also... In the early face run he had in McMahonland, he was super over... He didn't have to talk... He was getting more popular than Hogan... Just watch the unedited ending to the 1992 Rumble... When Sid bundles out Hogan, the crowd went bonkers. And that was in 1992, when your average fan actually had a clue who Sid was. This is 2007, and Sid hasn't been "important" since 2001, when he was one of the main eventers during WCW's demise. Your average fan will look at him, and wonder who the old fat guy with the bum leg is.

In fact, I've never met a wrestling fan who didn't... Even my buddy Joe knows him, and he's a guy who thought the necrophelia angle was funny. He's the definition of average fan... He didn't start watching until Sid was just about gone. Yet, he knows who he is.

One, maybe two promo videos and everyone would know who SID was again, he comes in, has a couple of matches with or at least involving Snitsky, six months tops. I, at least, am not thinking a long term SID return, just a few months, give a rub to Snitsky, get a HOF induction, retire.

And that's six months that could actually be used putting over a new talent that could actually be of worth to the company down the line, instead of giving an old guy an ego trip and putting over a guy who will be fired within the next year or so.

Yeah, but they obviously want something from Snitsky, so why not have him get the rub by using SID, before he gets fed to Cena or Undertaker or whoever. Granted they could build up a new talent, but in one effect, they would be, as they would be building the new Snitsky gimmick and usuing a Legend to do so is as good as squash matches.

WWE I know you are reading this. Sign Sid, give Snitsky Sid's music from 1991-92 and have Sid be his manager, then after Cena beats Snitsky, Sid can be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The WWE needs someone like Sid. He would bring instant credibility. Sid is not supposed to wrestle purely technical matches or do 360s off the ring rope. Sid just uses raw power to overwhelm opponents. And you know what-most people find that entertaining. What makes wrestling tick is having people of all sorts of wrestling styles such as the powermen, technical guys and brawlers. I guarantee that trying to push another supposed decent technical wrestler with no charisma will not have the impact that Sid brings to the table.
