This is pretty much the reaction I'd expect out of any character.

I'm not a cena fan, But the back stage segment with Vince was one of the best "promos" Cena gave in a long time.

After watching RAW, it dawned on me, that Cena + WWE Creative plain out sucks. Now, I don't think one outsucks the other, but combined...smurfing hell do they make me wanna kill myself. Case in point, Cena being escorted out from the building last RAW. His speech seemed so damn forced with emotion. While he was talking to Vince, tears filled his eyes and it was one of the goofiest looks I've seen in my life. smurf, Cena IS nothing more than goofy ass looks. But this was horrible. Fake crying? "He hit my dad, it's personal...WHAAAAA". Honestly, to who is that supposed to appeal to? Kids? Kids rebel against their parents. Adult males? Adult males will find it funny and unbelivable like I did. The only people who could have possibly bought that crap were women (for lack of a better term, I mean anyone who is prone to a quick emotional attatchment), and I'm sure Cena's acting didn't do anything for them either. "Vince...I just want you to know....you're a father too....I want you to know that now....it's personal" Who smurfing cares? Vince just looked like "crap, another smurfing retarded thing on my show". Now, I dunno who's to blame other than Cena with his horrendous acting skills and the writers for penning this crap, but come on, Cena defenders, how can you defend this as something good for The Champ to do? And how does this really add emotion and drama to the storyline? In other words, how many more buys will there be because of Cena's crybaby speech? Do they think it's going to entice me to buy the PPV? If anything, it makes me want to go to whereever-the-smurf Cena is from and beat up his dad myself. Please, someone try to defend yet another crapty Cena skit. Yet, the crowed popped for Cena's "goofy looks". Some would say "yeah, but they're all women and children". "Smarks" have to stop thinking that they're better than "marks", women, and children, they're not. Us complaining about the top guys getting pops from children is like a grown-up complaining that "Barney and friends" isn't entertaining enough.

Y'know what's funny?
This is the one sequence of events that I've liked John Cena in in almost 3 years. It actually showed that he had some fire and passion left in him, and it's not all poop and fart jokes and sarcasm with him. THIS is the Cena that I've been waiting to show up again.

A fake "sporting" event is this serious to you? Forget wrestling and concentrate on this horse, and I recommend not putting so much effort into dissecting a tv show if it's going to effect you so negatively. But that'll just make him think of Mickie James and wrestling!

I like Cena just fine, but that wasn't a particularly good segment. His character has bounced back & forth between superhero and goofball so much (sometimes in the same promo) that this might have been too much of a stretch for him. But really, name your favorite wrestler and I'll bet that at some point they did an on-air segment just as bad or worse.
It'll be something else next week. And we will either love it, or hate it, or think it was just okay.

Okay, here goes:
Cena made me give a crap about his feud with Orton. Through his acting, I actually believed that Cena was angrier at Orton than he's ever been with any other heel. Even Edge, when he roughed up Cena's dad too. Cena's got great emotion, and he sold the feud to me. The kid's got talent.

Must John Cena be attacked for EVERY single thing that he does? If that was CM Punk in the same situation, I wouldn't see anyone clamoring.

If it was CM Punk, people would be raving about how for once a storyline goes "outside the ring" and is personal, rather then just fighting over the sake of a title. But you know how it goes. I liked the skit.

This stupid "emotion" thing is annoying. I remember his "intensity" photo folder on his profile page and it was just him with that stupid wide-mouth he always does. It really did seem forced like they could put that in the video package building the intensity and emotion in the match. It's stupid.
