After watching RAW, it dawned on me, that Cena + WWE Creative plain out sucks. Now, I don't think one outsucks the other, but combined...f***ing hell do they make me wanna kill myself.
Case in point, Cena being escorted out from the building last RAW. His speech seemed so damn forced with emotion. While he was talking to Vince, tears filled his eyes and it was one of the goofiest looks I've seen in my life. f***, Cena IS nothing more than goofy ass looks. But this was horrible. Fake crying? "He hit my dad, it's personal...WHAAAAA". Honestly, to who is that supposed to appeal to? Kids? Kids rebel against their parents. Adult males? Adult males will find it funny and unbelivable like I did. The only people who could have possibly bought that shit were women (for lack of a better term, I mean anyone who is prone to a quick emotional attatchment), and I'm sure Cena's acting didn't do anything for them either.
"Vince...I just want you to know....you're a father too....I want you to know that now....it's personal" Who f***ing cares? Vince just looked like "shit, another f***ing retarded thing on my show".
Now, I dunno who's to blame other than Cena with his horrendous acting skills and the writers for penning this shit, but come on, Cena defenders, how can you defend this as something good for The Champ to do? And how does this really add emotion and drama to the storyline? In other words, how many more buys will there be because of Cena's crybaby speech? Do they think it's going to entice me to buy the PPV? If anything, it makes me want to go to whereever-the-f*** Cena is from and beat up his dad myself.
Please, someone try to defend yet another shitty Cena skit.

I love how he tried to appeal to Vince as a Father.
Full well knowing that Vince and Shane have fought how many times? He tried to kill Steph during their match, cheated on Linda thousands of times and his character of Mr McMahon more or less The Lord of Immoral Scumbags?
Nice logic John.

MOST adult males would feel the exact same way if their father was attacked in a fight they had nothing to do with.
Cena was trying to appeal to Vince not only as a father but eye to eye as a man. That's why he called him "VINCE" instead of "Mr. McMahon."

Personally, I love how your asking members of the IWC to defend a champion who we are mostly bored of and Creative, who mostly all of us despise as we all think we could do a better job working alongside two rabid monkeys.

*yawn* Another Cena hate thread?
Here's an idea, his character is trying to appeal to Vince as a human being. And his "acting skills", well what do you think. He's a wrestler, not a Hollywood actor. Just look at Steve Austins "great" acting skills in the Condemned or Cena's in those crappy movies he did. Even further, look at how great an "actor" Hulk Hogan, the most over guy ever, was in Mr. Nanny.

Why defend something to a person that is so angry that they wouldn't accept the explanation?

There's no point in anyone wasting their time writing out a defense for something you hated so much that you felt the need to start a thread and write a four-paragraph rant detailing everything you disliked about it.

Didn't Cena try to appeal to Vince as a person who loved their dad? If so, it's not that illogical.
I don't see the problem with what Cena did. You would only class it as bad acting because it's wrestling, and you know it's fake from the off, and will be instantly trying to ridicule it. He's stared in a movie so he can't be that bad at acting.
Another thing, I actually like the different turn of character they are doing with Cena. Loads of people complain that he is this goody-two-shoes do the right thing annoying guy, but he goes and beats up his boss, shows emotion, signs of weakness and christ! It's lame! It's cheesy!
Before the Orton feud with Cena was only over the title, and you didn't feel like they wanted to get at each other as much as say, Edge did at Cena. Now there is reason. Now there is depth. Stop complaining.

I heard that Cena has actually approached Creative about dropping the title to someone. After that, I can tolerate him a little more. And it's kind of cool that there will be a one year reign again (although I hope it doesn't happen again for a while).

A fake "sporting" event is this serious to you? Forget wrestling and concentrate on this horse, and I recommend not putting so much effort into dissecting a tv show if it's going to effect you so negatively.

I wasn't taking anything serious on Raw but it just wasn't entertaining to me. God, it dragged on for what felt like 5 hours and really got nothing of substance accomplished.

Use the "change channel" function on your TV and you won't have to see things you won't like.

Hyperbole is the greatest invention in the history of things!
I still don't get the clarion call to 'defend' something. Debate about differing opinions perhaps, but maybe it's just me, I'm far more apt to a read a couple of sentences from someone stating they either liked or disliked something than I am someone else stating their opinion and then going into paragraph after paragraph of detailed reasons why as if that suddenly makes their opinion any more valid. But that's just me.

John was bacically telling Vince that he(Vince) would probably respond the same way if someone did what Orton did to Vince Sr. As a matter of fact John referred to Vince Sr. by name at least twice.

Vince screwed up and almost called his promotion the WWF earlier, but at least Cena gets the dialogue out cleanly. It's not good dialogue, but it's clean.

Coming from someone who only USED to be a big fan of Cena before creative team toned him down and turned him into a against all odds superman that I am now so tired of.. I have actually liked ANGRY Cena we have seen the last 2 weeks. It reminds me of his first match against Angle where he seemed determined to put the beat down rather then come to the ring and tell a bunch of lame jokes and worrying about playing to the fans but Im sure we will get the same old Cena back soon....BOOOOOOOOO!

I'm no Cena fan, but I kinda dig the angle. Hell, I know I'd be all shades of pissed off if someone attacked my father at one of my wrestling events. Is it the greatest angle? No, but it gets Orton more over as a heel, and it gives some people, like me for instance, a reason to attempt to care about Cena.
It's not going to win any awards, but it helps keep my tv on the same channel...
