Basically what i mean by this is...when a superstar is out for a lengthy amount of time do yopu think it makes their return more special if they are sporting a new 'updated' look?
I along with many others was dissapointed with takers return last night..not just because the match was underwhelming..but because it was the exact same looking taker we always see!
When he returned in 1994 to face the evil taker he had a revamped attire!..when he returned to face mankind...he had revamped attire! but since he's back 2 being the deadman..he's just worn his biker taker gear...and just added some lame tights along the way!
Since when does the true deadman wear UFC gloves??...and why the HELL is he wearing blatant eyeliner???...is that suppose to make you appear dead!! In his early years they had makeup underneath his eyes which made him look creepy..now he just looks like a drag queen!
Maybe im putting too much emphysis on attire but if someone is returning from an absence and are sporting a new look..it always makes me mark out for their return..it's almost like an updated version, when they are sporting the same old look...its really underwhelming. I guess the reason im picking on taker is because since hes become the deadman again he's jsut had the SAME attire over and over..despite about 3-4 BIG returns in the last couple of years.
Does this bother anyone else or is this just me who thinks returning superstars should have an updated look just to make them seem abit fresh?
Thoughts?

Taker looks like he smells really, really bad.

Not too many guys in the WWE have a unique enough look as it is...so changing something like generic tights #2 color or "Hey, look, it's my new t-shirt" really wouldn't make that big a difference to me...

A change in attire doesn't really make a return. Suppose Bret 'Hit Man' Hart came back. Would we want him in any attire other than the pink and black tights, black leather jacket and sunglasses? Granted the Deadman has gone through a number of changes throughout his career, he's at the final stage of his wrestling career - is it worth making anymore changes, or enjoying him till the end of his run?

A change in attire probably works for anybody, but for the major main event guys it's not really necessary.

I just hope whenever Taker does sadly wrestle his last match, he does it in the cheap black top with the ripped off sleeves and the grey dishwashing gloves.

Why is everyone complaining about Taker's return and his look? Everyone knows he's probably only got 5 years left at the max before he calls it quits, so why can't we just appreciate what he's doing while he's still here? He's made such a historical mark in wrestling history that I could care less about what attire he wears at this point. He's hit legendary status and anything he does from here on out is untouchable in my eyes.

I think the best idea for Taker's last match, would be his classic look, facing either Hogan, or Kane in his classic look for a double 'final hurrah'. Is this too much to ask?

Make as 'Taker continues to wrestle he will lose muscle, gain fat & go back the cheap shirt with ripped sleeves to cover it up?

It's not a must, but sometimes it's cool, Personally I'd like Taker' to go back to wearing some type of vest. I don't like the singlet. As far as other wrestlers, some don't need to change their look at all.

Well, Ultimate Warrior changed his hairstyle for his comieback at Wrestlemania VIII. Remember what that caused?

I always liked any Kane returns because more often than not he sported a new look except the last few years when he's returned with that same bland outfit and same bland character.

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion on it and if it's a negative one it doesn't mean we are less appreciative of the man. It was the same old stuff that was totally predictable. A poor part of a shambolic PPV.

if the guy wants to keep an old gimmick that never develops and consists of the same things it has forever, a costume change is really the only way to change things up.
