Okay, imagine it's one year later, and 222 has run its course/is still running its course - what was it all about?*
* - this can be anything, but it would be really great if a few people at least could avoid the standard old "IT WAS THE GOOKER AND WWE WENT OUT OF THE BIZNIZZ!!!". What do you hope it will be?
Personally, I have no idea what it will be, but I'm hoping some something along the lines of Jericho coming back all emo and edgy, and having a kind of new-age nWo feud with the WWE establishment. Yeah, I know, total RoH ripoff, but ripping off ECW is what MADE the 'tude era, so it'd be a good thing.

emo and edgy? How on earth do those two words belong together?

Jimmy Jacobs is totally emo in his look, and some aspects of Project 161 have come off that way, but it's certainly edgy.

emo and edgy? How on earth do those two words belong together? Lets not degenerate this into that kind of stuff please. The gimmick in ROH involving AotF which came from the 161 shenanigans IS exactly that... emo and edgy. As far what I'd like to look back at this as? Anything but predictable. As much as I would love to see Jericho come back if this does end up being for his return, I'll be a bit saddened that it was this easy to guess on. At this point I'm excited for anything from a big name returning to a big stable, anything just to shake up what's going on in WWE right now.

If we're doing one year later....shouldn't we do a weekly story on what happens in one week during said missing year. We could call it...i dunno...52

He's got too much personality to get stuck in an emo gimmick. I'm just hoping it's more akin to his character during his face run in 2000 and 2001. He was OVER.

Maybe not emo as such, as most things emo piss me off, but I would like him to be a heel (if it's him), and an anti-corporate type of heel at that. He could say that the corporate world has treated him like crap, and now he's going to do the same, and mocks the WWE's fan-friendly champ. Cena storms the ring, only for two of Jericho's new stable to jump him and bloody him, and Jericho to put him in the Walls to close out the show.

[/glow]
common man, joking about the stuff is half of what makes watching it fun. im not saying they suck and cant do things right. its a freaking wrestling business, anything they do goes and shouldnt be taken seriously. id probably like it more if it was someone like mr. ass or al snow instead of a big name because that is the type of stuff that would entertain me.

i am going to have to agree with spike. wwe has already ripped off p161 a bit, with the whole running cryptic messages riddled with clues while pretending it is an outside force, so why not rip it off fully? now i am as much of a jericho fan as the rest of you guys, but if pulled off well a violent invading group who opposes everything the e stands for and tries to take them down could really make me heavily interested again.

Heck, just the mere possibility of this happening has got me more interested than I've been for a long while.

i'd love to see it as Jericho on a crusade. I think that wou'd really add an edge to the WWE programing that its been missing since the attitude era.

Me too... they need to get an edge back, and this would be a way of doing it without it being offensive. Also, I could see this as a way to elevate a bunch of people, which is something they need to do and have been screwing up, either through their own fault or through bad luck, for a while.

I really think that Y2J could draw as #1 guy, so I hope he comes back
It'd be a bigger suprise if it was someone else though, especially since Jericho said "I'm Coming Back" on his myspace.
If he does end up coming back, Kayfabe will have had its grave dug up and cursed by evil spirits...then scattered across tainted lands of the earth
and the Roaddogg could handle the mic better, but the look on peoples faces if it was Bad Ass Billy Gunn would be priceless.

Punk, jericho, london, regal, kendrik... and it just keeps growing... and they're here to save the WWE from the same monotonous programming and "wrestling" that has riddled its ring for the past few years... that would really add that air of "something special" to WWE programming. i know it would get me to watch again!

I totally agree... I mean, I never said the whole "I'm never going to watch again" thing... I just guess I lost some interest, although I still like plenty of the product. But something like this would really shake things up... let's just say that if it was done right, I don't think it would LOSE any viewers, but it might GAIN some.
