I always liked it when it was on the shoulder I think its a more respectful spot then the waist Um, but belts go around the waist though, how is that disrespectful?

I never liked the way Rock held the title..it always geve the appearance as if "I just found the old peice of crap in a dumpster) thing
on the shoulder for backstage stuff/non wrestling in ring bits (contract signings n stuff )nd promotional stuff like photos
but around the waist is ..as someone said..is the way you should wear a belt because it IS a belt, though I remember hoping as a ki the disasters would win the tag belts (to see how they'd get the belts around the waist) but was disappointed that they just had em on their shoulders

The character should define how you carry it.
If your character is more about the wrestling or is more traditional, wear it around your waist. Characters like Cena or Rock should have it over the shoulder. Monsters should just drag it (since often in some cases the belt wouldn't be able to fit around the waist).

As a visual concept, the belt over the shoulder is good because it keeps it in view when a close up of a wrestler is done during an interview. From a kayfabe standpoint, I like over the left shoulder cause it seems like the belt rests right over their heart (makes me feel warm and fuzzy)

Too much fanciness. The belt is meant to go around the waist. The shoulder thing was the beginning of the end, and it's all downhill from there.

on the right guy, around the waist is perfect. For Cena, it suits him to be on the shoulder, but for guys like Batista and the undertaker, i think around the waist looks awesome, it adds so much power to he performer.

If I were lucky enough to get the kind of push that Lance Storm got in WCW, complete with 4 different belts, the coolest way is to have 4 different lovely ladies surrounding you, each carrying a belt over their head for everyone to see.

Did Ultimo Dragon ever bring all eight of his belts to the ring at once? What'd he do then, a wheelbarrow?

DDP style.
Backwards, then spin it around when you get to the ring. Of course with DDP it would always get stuck half way and he looked like a moron. But if someone did it right, it would be cool.

I always liked how Taker carried it into the ring at Tuesday in Texas. Kinda like "Yeah I got a belt big deal."

It depends on the character,
Like Monsters in most cases shouldn't wear it around their waste... Because well they're monsters, why would they take the time to put it on correctly?
