so, its a sci-fi e-fed type-o-thing? How do you sign up(not sure if I am, just where it says sign up, there is no place to sign up) It's a dice and cards game based on wrestling 100 years in the future...you also have the option to play the Legends of Wrestling game if you prefer real wrestlers (Road Warriors, Mr. Perfect, Dr. Death, Hackenshmidt, Bundy, Snuka, Rude etc...) You can sign up for the on line version soon and play everything on line...I'll admit I like to sit down and play card and dice style and am not one one of the developers for the on line version so as of now I may not be the best guy to talk to about the online version (click my sig and you get all the info you need on it though)... if you are interested in the game you can order at the site. It's one long continuous story with guys getting older, retiring, some dying, and new guys coming in all the time... The game dates back to 1986...for those new to the game there is a new starting point called New Beginnings 2119...the newest set comes out this summer called Subversion 2122. Just something I have enjoyed my whole life and most recently had the opportunity to write myself. I wrote and produced the most recent edition called PROMOTER MADNESS which features 15 new wrestlers created by fans of COTG. It's pretty sweet if you have any kind of imagination, a love for wrestling and get bored with video game products. any more questions feel free to ask... swarm

Rumor is that Bret Hart, Jushin Liger, Bulldog, Dynamite Kid, Pillman, Anvil, Owen, and a few others from Calgary will be in the next LOW set...between names like that and everything going online I would imagine that should garner some strong interest...I don't play the LOW version but if Tom signs those guys it would be hard not too.

Yeah, have definately played this. Have every set up until it "reset" a few game years back. Ran a fed w/my best friend for years up until he moved out the area.
Some really great booking ideas reside in those books... I love the WarGames concept, and wish they'd use it in WWE or TNA somehow. (No, not the WarGames you know about, it's more of a grand scale year-long tournament).
And the Megatournament would have been such a cooler way to deal w/the WCW/ECW mish-mosh that as we know, ended in disaster. If you ever want to read a properly booked Invasion angle, read the GWF/CPC years books. Genuis.

That's really cool to hear...for anyone caught up the hottest story=line going right now revolves around Mother Superior, Bloodline and Encubus...
Even if you didn't play the 20 some odd books with continuous story-lines are worth the look...

Is this the game that was featured in old PWI magazines that I used to fill out but never send in...Had pictures of characters that resembled John Tenta, Ultimate Warrior, and others?
You had to pick all these moves and provide like a biography and picture and had the chance to win a replica title?

I would definitely encourage anyone who is creative and a wrestling fan to give COTG a chance, be it the online or traditional version.
I began playing in 1989, I believe, and it has been an incredible source of entertainment and fun.

I met the guy who created it at Wrestle Reunion a few years back. Cool guy...his passion for it is completely f***ing insane. I bought the Base set, but never did anything with it. I prefer to use TNM7 as my creative wrestling freedom.

I've thought of getting the Legends of Wrestling one? Is it like a role playing game sort of? Maybe I can get one other friend to play it with me that likes D and D.
As far as wrestling card games, I've collected WWE Raw Deal and WCW Nitro before. The problem is no one seems to carry Raw Deal in San Diego, so I can only get it at conventions and online.

If you follow the links in my sig you can learn all about it. We're trying to get Bret Hart, Owen Hart. Pillman and a few others for a Stampede set... Jushin Liger is in the next one.

write up of my last card if anyone is interested in seeing how it goes...
card #1123
GWFZ card # 12
Live from Champion Hall, Ceres...
The first annual...
*CHAMPIONS HALL CLASSIC!*
featuring...
The CHAMPIONS HALL CLASSIC Tournament where the GWFZ CHAMPIONSHIP on the line the entire tournament and the winner earns a match in the GWF at Subversion 2122...vs. Endgame!
Hosted by Johnny Rocket and Bounty Hunter...and Endgame is at ringside with a front row seat!
*PYRO AND EXPLOSIVES!
Champion Hall goes ballistic as Chevelle's THE CLINCHER hits the speakers and GWFZ CHAMPION Overtime is the first man out of the gate!
Champions Hall Classic Tournament: Round 1.
*In a **** 1/2 re-match that this time saw Ensor hit ERUPTION OF THARSIS three times...OT retains the title after coming back to hit consecutive CLINCHER'S for the pin...Awesome match...
*Umagapotamus takes a brutal beating but survives, putting down Morbid after 3 consecutive SAMOAN HIPPO SPIKE'S...Morbid would not stay down but could not overcome a third spike in a row...
*The Legacy gets revenge on Hegemony for his attack last week on OZONE by squashing the work-rate superstar in less than a minute with INNER PEACE to the delight of the Champions Hall crowd...
*Earning the loudest pop of the night so far, Pride makes quick work of Sledgend after a missed Blindside Splash, hitting him with a powerful Blue Chip Clothesline for the win!
*Champions Hall Classic Tournament: Semi-Finals.
*Overtime barely escapes with his GWFZ TITLE, becoming the first man to pin Umagapotamus and retains the belt making it 2 - 0 so far tonight and advancing to the finals...
Umagapotamus had The Champ down but a big kick-out saved OT...soon thereafter he was able to hit THE CLINCHER multiple times finally taking the giant Andromeda hippo's leg out from under him for the victory!
*Pride continues to roll pinning The Legacy after a brilliant over the head belly to belly release superplex off the top ropes...
OT vs. Pride in the Finals!
*In a BEST TO 10 FALLS CLASSIC, the referee was forced to stop the match at 6 - 0 when Anivar had Sly Drury so badly injured, he could not continue...
Sly Drury is left with a broken eye socket and a dislocated shoulder!
Anivar wins the year long feud in brutal fashion! Strong!
*In one of the most anticipated COSMIC CAGE MATCHES in the history of the GFITG, Swarm overcame the odds to beat Symbiote with HORNETS STING one week after almost being killed by Entry Wound...
After the match a shaking Swarm stood over the body snatching Brymstone beast with the curled blade extended over his head...ready to come down on the evil alien with his own weapon!
As the referee and several security plead with Swarm to drop the weapon...
he does...
showing Symbiote mercy and walking away and out of the cage...
...blood spills from the mouth of Symbiote as he cackles on the canvas, eye balling Swarm the entire time he walks up the ramp...
and in THE MAIN EVENT...
Champions Hall Classic Tournament: FINALS.
*OT makes GFITG history beating Pride, retaining the GWFZ CHAMPIONSHIP and earning a shot vs. Endgame at SUBVERSION 2122 with THE CLINCHER...!
Huge!
The show ends with OT atop the turnbuckle with the belt, talking trash to Endgame who stands quietly in the front row, never breaking eye contact with his new SUBVERSION 2122 opponent...
