SCOTT STEINER SUFFERS TRACHEA INJURY by Mike Johnson @ 12:25:00 AM on 6/5/2007
One of the top matches for the TNA Slammiversary PPV may need to be changed as Scott Steiner, who was scheduled to reunite with his brother Rick to challenge TNA Tag Team champions Team 3D suffered a neck injury over the weekend at the TNA house show in Puerto Rico. The injury is believed to be to Steiner's trachea and he's scheduled to undergo surgery.
While we are still trying to confirm how long he'll be out of the ring, PWInsider.com can confirm Steiner will miss this weekend's scheduled bouts for Hermie Sadler's UWF in Philadelphia and Maryland. The UWF is already working on ideas for a new main event.

You can't be serious...that's gotta be the second best match on the card so far...behind only KOTM.

Steiner undergoing surgery today
by Dave Meltzer
Dave@wrestlingobserver.com
Scott Steiner was scheduled to undergo surgery on his trachea today in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Steiner was injured yesterday in taking a kick to the throat from Apolo in a tag team match where Steiner & Robert Roode faced Jeff Jarrett & Apolo. He seemed fine after the match, but at 2 a.m., was having trouble breathing and was rushed to the hospital.
There was no estimate until after surgery is completed regarding how long Steiner would be out of action, but the preliminary word was that he's not expected back in the ring for a while.
Steiner had just started teaming with brother Rick for a few matches against Team 3-D, including at the 6/17 Slammiversary PPV.

Another reason why TNA should have nothing to do with Apolo.

TNA needs to bring in Rick's other great tag team partner...yep...former WCW World tag team title holder, Judy Bagwell.

That doth stink royally. A trachea injury sounds decidedly unpleasant. Get well, Scott.
