I have to say that was way better than I expected. I like the fact that it's mocking the typical eastern spiritualism. I mean it's actually pretty decent in my opinion and being even tempered and wearing a nehru jacket was great in my opinion. Also it shows a contrast between Dutt and Lethal. Dutt looked inside himself and found what he was all about and found the true Sonjay Dutt. While Lethal is just pretending to be someone else. The whole "ROBERTS RUINED MY WEDDING!" comment proved this and I could see Dutt feuding with him to try to get Lethal to become himself instead of a caricature of Savage.
So this is good in my opinion and actually is smart charchter development and also making a smart point of making fun of typical Indian philosophy. Although most likely like the Muhammad Hassan gimmick it will end up bad but as of right now i'm hope that this could be good and not be idiotic because we know that Dutt has potential he just needs a distinct gimmick that shows he isn't generic X Division wrestler #17.

The thing with these gimmicks, is it's meant to be a joke. It's making fun of the fact that you can be the best wrestler in the world, but still need some stupid gimmick to get over.
It always baffles my mind when someone will say"Why can't Lethal just be himself? Why does he have to have some dumb gimmick?".
That's the whole point.

Yeah, and that's great, in theory, but your average casual fan who just turns on wrestling on a Thursday night isn't gonna get the joke. They're just gonna see a dumb gimmick on a guy and turn the channel.

The gimick gets a few weeks from me. I like Jay Lethal's gimick. So do alot of people. Honestly tell me that remix of pomp and circumstance isn't the bomb. The whole segment made me laugh in spite of me wanting to hate it before it ever aired. I like Lethal. I like Dutt and I like that they are both getting a push that sets them apart from the rest of the TNA roster as well as the rest of the wrestling world

Maybe but at the very least it is mocking people idolizing eastern philosophy which could be funny and entertaining. But I might be looking too much into it.

the only issue i have can be found in this question: how will this gimmick draw money? Probably the same way they expect the Black Machismo gimmick to draw money: T-Shirts.

I nominate "Roberts ruined my wedding" as the new fad catch phrase!
KENNEDY!
ROBERTS RUINED MY WEDDING, YEEEEEAAAHHHHH!

I'm not sure what this gimmick will do for Dutt, seems pretty iffy, but Lethal and Nash were money in that skit. I had to rewind and watch that again.
Snake Roberts ruined my wedding! LOL

Maybe but at the very least it is mocking people idolizing eastern philosophy which could be funny and entertaining. But I might be looking too much into it. Why is this good? I'm not saying it's not, necessarily, but it just seems an odd way to go. "Hey, you know who really needs to get taken down a peg? Those damn smug Hindus!"

I think it's gonna flop. Never thought Jay Lethal would get a better gimmick than Sonjay.
Actually, never thought either would actually have a real gimmick.

The guru, meditating wearing all white.
i hope it's not like that crappy movie the Guru, where he ended up being some "Sexpert" con artist.
though i think that could potentially be something awesome.
