So i caught an episode of impact on Bravo2 over here in the U.K. Thought I would actually see for myself what the show is like and if they have any chance of challenging WWE?
What a steaming pile of monkey shit that product is. I recognise they have some very good talent there in Angle, Christian and Samoa Joe, but everyone else I saw made me want to turn the T.V off.
Everything about that show is awful. The in ring product isn't even that great. The promo work is very amateurish. The backstage segments/skits are boring. The production values don't even begin to compare to WWE. And the 'commentary' was just an abomination.
I mean, I don't see how that show can have any serious designs on mounting a challenge towards WWE.
TNA just comes off as really cheep.

To be fair, WCW looked pretty cheap at first, too. You never know what the future holds.

They used to have an xdivision I've seen one or two of those X division matches and i'll admit there damn good. I'm guessing they don't allow much time for them on the show judging by your comment? I don't profess to be a regular viewer but I have seen a fair amount of that product now and I am not at all impressed.

This has nothing to do with this topic, but my favorite custom TNA slogan I ever saw on here was:
TNA: Stop laughing!

TNA: We Are Wrestling ... Just Like WMAC Masters Was Mixed Martial Arts.
Jed Shaffer ~You should see the first year of TNA. It's like someone sent a camera crew to someone's backyard.

Didn't we already have one of these this week?
MAN: Impact is unwatchable.
RUBE: But it's been better the past few weeks!
MAN: The booking is awful.
RUBE: But the PPV matches are pretty good!
etc.
Been done to death already. Let's move on.

The product is ok. They just need to cut out some of the pointless vingettes. With a show that only goes one hour, they really have to be picky on what they put on television.
I used to be one of TNA's biggest critics back when it first started on Spike (I only saw bits and pieces before that), but I'm finding myself now defending them more against the onslaught of people who dislike the product.

They need to stop showing backstage stuff. The TNA backstage area is so small it looks REALLY bush league.

As someone who watched TNA regularly well before they debuted on spike, I just sit and cry at nights at what the product is now.
