Former Stampede Wrestling star of the 1980's, Biff Wellington (real name Shane Bower) has passed away. His parent's had not heard from him, and discovered his body earlier this morning in bed. It appears Bower had already passed away days earlier. In the past, Bower worked against the likes of Chris Benoit, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman and Hiroshi Hase.

I'm not familiar with the man's work, but I'm sorry to hear it all the same. If he's worked greats like that, I'd probably of liked his work, too.

That's a shame. I believe I saw a match in WCW where he teamed with Chris Benoit in the early 1990's. It might have been on a Clash of the Champions event. He was pretty good. RIP

Ugh, this is terrible. Ms. Martel only died a few days ago, and now this.
I swear, I cannot recall another year in which so many professional wrestlers have died (And to think, we're only about half-way through 2007 so far). I sincerely hope that this will be the last time we'll have to reflect on a pro wrestler's death in a long, long time.

I heard this guy was a tough guy, and saw a few of his matches (The clash match with Benoit being the biggest). Sorry to hear of his passing.

I was a big fan of Biff Wellington. I watched him in Stampede Wrestling. Just a few years ago, I actually got to meet him at an event here. He took on the Cuban Assassin (another Stampede mainstay.) My brother and I got to talk with him. When I can, I will post the pics. RIP Biff. We will miss you.

When I first read this, I thought it was Ass-Punchy himself... but of course the "Superstar of the 80s" thing confused me. Glad to hear Ass-Punchy's still kickin'.
But RIP to the deceased all the same... condolences to the family.
