Poor Sherri.
Too much bad news lately, I'm getting totally desensitized.

Gerweck.net Two wrestling mysterys at the same time... And sadly, no one seems to care about Sherri in the media anymore unless its crackpot theories linking her to Benoit. Guess she needed to kill someone to be remembered.

Or be a male wrestling superstar. I dunno, until they were able to compare him to Benoit's cause of death, I'd heard no one in the mainstream media say word number one about Mike Awesome. Granted, sure, there's a little less name recognition for Mike Awesome than Chris Benoit, but....dammit I really marked for Awesome.

Or be a male wrestling superstar. You remind of a girl, that I once knew. See her face whenever I, I look at you. Wouldn't believe all of the things she put me through. This is why I just can't get with you.

That 70s Guy will never be wrestlecrap to me! But still, Sherri was in the business for years and showed up in almost every major promotion and managed some of the biggest stars of today and yesterday. She inspired two generations of wrestlers and managers and continues to inspire many today. Not only was she a golden manager she was also a wrestler that could work and tell a story. She was tough and she could get in the ring and take bumps from men. It's so sad that wrestlers that give us so much cheap entertainment pay a heavy price and spend so many of their final days in pain. If any woman in this business deserved a rightfull place in the HOF it was Sherri.

No doubt at all. I absolutely adored Sherri. She was my first ever wrestling crush, when all my friends were crazy about Liz or Missy, I only had eyes for the Sensational Queen.

I never really liked any of them. Not until I became familiar with Woman (R.I.P.) did I get a crush on a valet. Granted, I'm pretty sure Woman came along before the rest of them, but I wasn't familar with her until later on.

I don't think Woman came along first. . ..I dunno she was pretty far back but I don't think she was first. Liz was the last, I know that because this is when Macho was about to come to the WWF.

Yeah, I don't remember the timeline, but then again I have different definitions for "hot," "sexy," "pretty," and "beautiful." Elizabeth was always beautiful. Woman was hot/sexy. Unfortunately, IMO, Sherri was neither. Still, she is missed and may she rest in peace.

Yeah, she was niether in most guy's opinion but she proved she didn't need that to be a legend and that's what makes her great and an inspiration in a way, she bucked the sexist notions that hold women back in wrestling and went on to accomplish things still. She did a lot more than anyone would ever have expected of her and a lot more than any woman like her could do today. You actually have the common definition of "hot and sexy," there are few women that have been promoted in wrestling as "the sexiest things that ever lived" that I thought were even remotely attractive. My aesthetic doesn't fit pro wrestlings', I guess.

I was posting before strictly from a "today's standards" viewpoint. I was like nine or 10 and didn't care much about all the girls when Sherri was in her prime.

By "todays standards" all you have to do is get some implants and be a fitness model, you don't even have to work the indys or like wrestling. I've always cared about the girls. Imagine wrestling with no men in it, all women. Would be bizarre, right? Well, that's what wrestling was for me for a long time, no women; just men. I never even saw women wrestle until All Japan Women and Gaea hooked up with WCW.
