www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzBsQjOFA0QMean Gene runs down the line-up for the Survivor Series. Some highlights: -- A giant egg will be hatching! -- Demolition discuss how perfect they are. -- Sgt. Slaughter only gives orders. "We will destroy you! And THAT's an order" -- Bushwackers, Tito Santana, and Nikolai Volkoff...IN ONE PROMO! -- Ted DiBiase's team has a mystery partner! -- Hulk Hogan has been Pearl Harbored since day one. -- Mean Gene kicks it into overdrive for the last minute spiel! Awesome. I don't know why I didn't remember this stuff...

First ppv I ever saw. Too bad Demolition were all in their gimp masks instead of the face paint. I could pretty much tell who was who in the promo, but not on the graphic.
I wish I had that scorecard. I would've liked it to be a Wildcard Match instead of all faces vs. all heels, though.

I remember this being the 2nd Survivor Series in a row where Akeem was replaced. Except this time Akeem was replaced for good.

And Haku's spot on the Natural Disasters was originally supposed to go to Rick Rude.

Rude leaving was made into an angle too. Rude left and Heenan was instructed that he would have to replace his man in all upcoming one on one matches with The Bossman

This is the stuff I miss. I remember the PPV reports that would air during Superstars/All American Wrestling, etc. in the weeks leading up to the PPV.

Before I had cable, I used to subscribe to WWF Magazine and find out the results either through WWF Superstars or through my subscription. Man I miss these classic PPV promos.

Could somebody translate and transcribe what the Warrior said? It was indiscernible. Dusty Rhodes was great: "... for my polka dots!"

I dunno, I'm not that impressed with the show. Looking back at the ppv, it seemed a lot of the upper mid card stars were protected with cheap count out/dq loses. (LOD/Undertaker/Slaughter/Dusty
The only good thing to come from that ppv was the world class exchange between Hart and DiBiase at the end of the Dream Team/Million $ Team match

i could not stop laughing during the Perfect/Demo promo, because the whole time Smash was flexing his pecs, and that seemed off

I miss these, they use to hype me up for the PPV's every time. Even though I'd have to wait for them to come out on Coliseum Video a few weeks later.

Every week while watching Superstars, I'd anxiously wait for Okerlund to come on with the PPV report. Even if he reported Koko B. Ware vs. Rick Martel, it would be exciting just to find out the matches. Back when PPV's actually meant something.....
