So we know the Attitude era well...but it just kinda died with its top talent and since then the WWE hasn't redesigned its logo or given us a fresh new take on where its going.
Anyone else think its time for some new branding and a new direction?

New direction started with the brand split IMO.

It'd be nice to get some new direction, and sometimes new logos/set designs can help with that. If you ignore the 'F out' change, the WWE's had the same logo for 9 years now, SmackDown!'s had the same logo/stage design for 5 years, and RAW, save for the minor logo change last year, has been the same for 5 as well.
Maybe a new logo could do.. something

A new logo would be good but only when they know what era this is and what they're building towards. Either this is a transitional era or as I think of it, the Falling Star era

They need something new.
I think the product they're putting out now is really stale and really could use a change. I'm pretty convinced that WWE still think it's 1998 with the stuff they're doing. Maybe the best way to go is to look at what's popular on television at the moment and go from there.

This is the "Sports Entertainment" Era, where the goal is to make movies and commercials and reality shows

What they need to do and I know this will never happen. Get rid of un creative and Steph. I mean they do realize how much ratings have gone down since she got in power right? I guess making some money instead of a shit load of money isn't important to the wwe no more.

I mean, they have three different 'brands' within their one company, and if they put equal thought and attention to all three of them, they could (in theory) triple their earnings. Instead, though, all WWE care about is Raw and nothing else, but even then, the ratings are mediocre and should be much better than they are. Along with the piss-poor writing.

New direction started with the brand split IMO. too bad no one has had any idea what the hell to do since then. Edit. Is the "Finally made Bob Schlapowitz Stop Watching After 20 Years Era" too long?

They can't change the logo. It's on too much footage, they even put over old NWA & WCW footgae.

I agree, they could be making a boat load of cash, and this isn't the talents fault, this is Stephanie and Vince's fault. The death of another wrestling organization changed things, if they ever had another WCW come up, i do think Steph would be taken out as head writer.

i liked it in 2003
Each brand had it's own big name talent and SD used it to their advantage, because SD in 2003 was awesome it's a shame the same can't be said for RAW
Now both brands are boring as f***

I think the only way that a new promotion would rise up to compete with WWE now is if they present a completely different product. The best way for them to do this is to completely throw away 'the rulebook', so to speak, and start again. Personally, I'd like to see a product where there is a lot attention given to character development and good, exciting storylines (with continuity), but still with good wrestling matches. Anyone can be made into a star, they just need something that makes the fans care about them. This is where WWE is going wrong currently - their characters and their writing are atrocious. The only way you'll ever beat WWE is not trying to compete with them.

The WWE is in either the 1) Save Us Era or 2) Hornswoggle Era
