RQW run many of their shows at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London. Their next show will be at the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford, Kent. So I guess if RQW will be the territory, they'll run in the South East.

So I guess if RQW will be the territory, they'll run in the South East. Len? Len. LEEEENNNNNNN. Len's a good production and organisational guy for this, he's never had too much problem with the usual UK ring not showing up/hall cancelling on him/rescheduling, and he's a mature guy, so these all count for him. What he's never really shown is any actual flair for the wrestling side of things - RQW shows are routinely the most boring I attend, and lots of folks I know have given up going, especially since Len clearly got tired of the York Hall shows drawing 15% of capacity crowds, and moved to the tiny, studio-like venue in Dartford. This may have been, as he claimed, to prepare for live show tapings, instead of DVD release style stuff, but the fact remains that his crowds in the York Hall started low and dwindled alarmingly, and the RQW product is pretty bland in general. Still... good luck to him. Need a magazine production manager yet, Len?

Who knows? I just hope it doesn't cause too much harm to my beloved English indy scene. It could boost interest, I guess.

I have never been to an RQW show, who is on their roster? IPW:UK rocks, best of the UK indy bunch IMO. 1PW is a joke.

Brighton, eh, Pathogen... go to any UK shows? Not as yet, but I'm meant to be heading over to Worthing for something soon.

RQW regulars are Champion Martin Stone, Darren Burridge, James Tighe, Jon Ryan, Mad Man Manson, Red Vinny, Sam Slam, JP Monroe - most anyone else has only worked two-three shows. Tag teams include Hated Heroes, Kartel, The Dragonhearts (maybe), The Untouchables, Madder-Than-You (JP Monroe and Manson). The Women's division has Eden Black and Jetta, and various short termers. A good roster, but the booking is inconsistent, and it all comes off a bit heatless. Also, the tag team tournament went on for nearly a year, with only 8 or so teams in it!

I'm just glad Alex Shanes not in charge, hes a bit of an idiot in my humble opinion I wouldn't say an idiot, mroe a bad businessman. I always rated him as an entertainer and wrestler though. And James Tighe could be on board? Ace, I lvoed him from the FWA days. Fleisch, Storm, Flash Barker, Belton, Hade Vansen and Doug Williams all need to sign up soon. Then they can meet up with Burchill again and have an FWA reunion. God I miss FWA.

I thought Vansen was signed already - I believe he's already wrestled for FCW.

It's been coming for a long time. Storm can still go, but really he needs to switch things up a bit, he's a bit played out right now. And I never want to see him face Jody Fleisch again. Barker... retired, except for that one match earlier in the year. Put on a lot of weight, don't think he really wants it anymore. Belton... useless, IMHO. Nothing good about him, really. Vansen... yep. Already signed to WWE. Doug... would be awesome, IMHO. Would adapt perfectly to WWE style, and could have a good match with a dead person. This has cost him, actually, as he's been used as a special attraction in the UK as he's in Japan so much, and it's hard for him to get any storylines. Tighe... great worker, but boring as a face. Needs a heel turn, certainly in IPW:UK and in RQW. Alex... I'm biased, I used to work out at the same gym in Finsbury Park, used to get me tickets. Wish he could still work/was interested in working, but I don't think he can, due to his health issues. Awesome entertainer, solid gold on the mic and a decent big man who could fly a bit. Good businessman, too... in a sharp kind of way

Good businessman, too... in a sharp kind of way I always thought the Barker retirement thing was a work...oh well. Belton impressed me 2 or 3 years ago, I dunno what he's like now. And I agree Tighe should go heel. My bad on Vansen, still I'm glad he is on board. And how many times is Fleisch gonna be burnt out? he had that break during 04 or 05 didn't he? What's wrong with him, back in 02/03 he was great. Storm/Fleisch has definitely been overdone. I think them as a tag team could have had a bit more mileage though. I agree on everything about Shane except perhaps the businessman comment, and Williams is a first class worker. Him and Nigel are a great team in NOAH.

To say Fleisch is washed up, or burned out is going a bit over board.
Yeah he's nothing like he was back in 02/03, but he's no more washed up than that of Jeff Hardy in comparison to what Jeff could do back in 00/01.

Jody at his best was fantastic, but now I just see a guy that either wrestles a mundane match with the same spots over and over, or livens things up with a mad botch... all the time, wearing kickpads (what happened, he sell his boots?) and those stupid fatigues. Even his formerly wonderful finisher doesn't look great nowadays.

Is it true the FWA folded?
I interviewed Greg Lambert for a newspaper article. Decent guy. This was two days after Angle jumped to TNA so we had a nice long chat about that. He actually went to the same University and acquired the same degree as me too!
Got free tickets for a show in the Morecambe Dome. Good times.
