I'm definitely thinking no. All three times that there have been new champions other than Cena, it was pretty much a given that he would be getting it back in the near future. With him being out of action for almost a year, I think that there will be a new belt.

If I could book it, I would have Orton win and and throw the belt down. Then he could cut a promo, perhaps the next night proclaiming that "That" belt was a disgrace and that real titles don't spin. He would say that "That" belt was a joke and Cena was cheapening the WWE Championship with "That" belt.

I mentioned this in another thread: They will keep the spinny belt for as long as they have a warehouse full of spinny replicas to offload. Seeing as how Cena's injury and forfeit of the title came completely out of the blue, that is it wasn't something they had booked in advance, it's fair, although rather disheartening to suppose that they still have a shedload of the things left to sell.

It's a joke. It's Cenas belt, if they keep it it's basically saying whoever has it is just keeping it warm for his return. It would've been like keeping the smoking skull belt if Austins not even there.

Okay, then ignoring how prestigeous the belt is or isn't, that bling bling belt would just look plain stupid on the waist of a serious wrestler. That's what it boils down to. It doesn't fit the character of most of the wrestlers to wear something like that, hence why they had JBL blow up the blingy US Title. |
