...the WWE took some of our ideas? Now, I know some people around here joke about how the WWE steals their ideas, but I'm thinking, why be so angry at that, if in fact the WWE borrows our ideas?
Of course, for every one good idea the IWC has, 50 are crap, but if the WWE takes a good one should we get angry at it? Or rejoice because it's something we'd like to see. Like if WWE "stole" the name Londrick for "The Hooligans" perminetly, or gave Chris Masters a sombraro (for lack of a better example), would the IWC cry out "That was my idea, WWE stole it!" or would their be rejoicing?
Honestly, I see it as a two way street. Using the Master's example again, I think many here who like the idea will mark, however the few that originated it would hate it as they feel like their creativity was stolen from them.
Just some random thought after getting 4 hours of sleep in the last 3 nights.

If it's done well, then no. If it's taken, changed beyond recognition, and turned into Wrestlecrap, then yeah, probably, although we should be grateful to them for giving RD more material.

Hmm...
RVD over Cena The return of dX "DAMN!" Kennedy's Push (until he f***ed up) Constant WrestleCrap classics referred to in WWE Magazine, various programs, 24/7, etc.
And countless others. The WWE DOES take the IWC's ideas, and I'm firmly convinced that there is somebody who worked for E that checks out these boards.

The way they take the ideas given makes us all believe "Hey, there COULD be a mole, or it's just an odd coincidence". If they put a sombrero on Masters, it would completely confirm it, thus "outing" a mole. Plus, only those who are on here would even understand. I mean, sure, they gave us our "HOLY S***!!! WE DID THAT!!" pop with Ron Simmons the first...five times, but then it got old and stale.

I still say he should be getting some kind of payday from WWE.

I think it would be more like this:
*WWE takes an idea from the internet fans*
Guy: Psh, they're so desperate now that they're listening to the morons online. *Completely missing the fact that he is posting this on a website*

Depends what the idea is. An idea taken from the net has to be accessible to the main bulk of WWE viewers, who aren't necessarily part of the IWC. So for example giving London and Kendrick the name "Hooliganz" will probably work, but making CM Punk the WWE champion would not.

If it was changed beyond recognition, how would you know it was your idea? A lot of people don't know that the idea for Kennedy's original WWE title push eventually became Festus.

Masters in a sombrero could work EASY, just have him wear it on Smackdown's Halloween episode and insult Rey Rey or something, lol!!!

Far as the whole "DAMN" thing goes, if in fact they did get it from reading my bits (which, hey, I started nearly a year before they did), I can honestly say I popped huge the first time. Granted, I dont' want to see it run into the ground, but hey, I was still kinda happy. A check would be nice, though, but I won't hold my breath.

Seriously, I hadn't seen that kind of random DAMN joke anywhere until angryfan posted it. Then WWE pinch it. I just really wish they'd give us Masters in a sombrero. It could be for the Halloween episode and never again as Jonah Cherry suggested. I'd still mark huge.

As Bruce Campbell said when he discovered the makers of Duke Nukem had pinched some of his Evil Dead catchphrases for the Duke Games: "Imitiation is a form of flattery. But there is another better form of flattery: PAY A GUY!"

I'd be surprised, considering a lot of "IWC booking" is either:
a) too in-depth and complicated b) too "smark-friendly" c) probably not-so-appealing to the general audience d) rehash of old angles

I would not be the least offended when they show Gentlemen Gene Snitsky helping an old lady cross the street, wearing his Sunday finest southern dandy suit.
Or when we see a masked, silent-but-deadly Bobby Lashley.
Or Chris Masters learning Spanish in a Tijuana bar with his luchador amigos...
