No, and he doesn't deserve to be IMO. What?? why not? he was as good as eddie. Some people argue that while Owen was a great wrestler that he never really elevated above mid-card status, and doesn't deserve to be in the Hall Of Fame. But seeing some of the questionable inductions that have been made I don't see why he shouldn't be inducted. Also add in the fact the people that will say "He only got in cos he died"

Also add in the fact the people that will say "He only got in cos he died" In my opinion dieing in a dumbass stunt the writers forced on you that you did against better judgment because you're a company man and dedicated to the business is as good a reason as any to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. It's more than Pete Rose did.

No, and he doesn't deserve to be IMO. I think you need to take a second look at the HOF list, it's not as prestigious as you think. There are a lot of questionable inductions. I don't think Big John Studd was a great wrestler, so if he's in there, Owen should definitely be in.

In my opinion, Owen should be in the HOF. But we can't pretend that if it ever happens that there won't be cynical people saying. Just think back to when Eddie was inducted, and people said it was just because he died that he got in. Which was a completely ridiculous thing to say. No doubt it sped it up considerably, but why would they wait untill years later, best do it soon as possible when the fans will appreciate it the most.

He's not in, I guess because his wife holds a very reasonable grudge against WWE.
If the HoF was reserved to the Best of the Best, I'd be against Owen being inducted, but if Tony Atlas is in there, Owen should be as well.
Once again, the HoF is a joke...

Dying like that IS Hall of Fame worthy. Even if The Great Khali died like that I would be calling for his induction. It shows dedication.

I don't think dying on duty should grant an HoF spot though...
I find quite questionable that after a Superstar (or an athlete, an actor, a musician...) dies, everybody was a fan of him/her, his/her ability is immediately doubled, he/she did no wrong etc.
I call it the "Ayrton Senna effect", and it's despicable IMO. It's more respectful keeping the previous opinion, even if it wasn't 100% positive or flattering, than starting ass-kissing the corpse

Owen Hart died against his better judgment trying to entertain the fans. That's more than Hulk Hogan did. By that way of looking at it he in fact deserves it more. It has nothing to do with guaging his in ring abilities, or figuring out whether you were a fan. It has all to do with what was given to the sport, and in Owen's case it was his life. And that dedication made him famous and worthy of induction. He most definately deserves it.

And that dedication made him famous and worthy of induction. He most definately deserves it. I'm still against automatic HoF induction to deceased Superstars. Contribution and accomplishments should be the main reasons for an induction. Owen was lower-midcard until his awesome feud with Bret, and went back to midcard short after it, only to resurface back in the New Hart Foundation. He was talented and entertaining in HIS SPOT, and I loved his heel run in 93-94, BUT he never reached the level of his brother. His unfortunate and tragic death shouldn't blur too much a balanced judgment of his career. Then, looking at some names in the HoF, Owen could be there and deservingly so, but only because the average level of HoF is quite low... BTW, I'm still waiting to see Roland Ratzenberger and Riccardo Paletti in F1 Hall of Fame Or Marc-Vivien Foe, Miklos Feher and Antonio Puerta mentioned with Pelè and Maradona...
