As of now, their is no way WWE can collapse,it is too big. But in 5-10 years when MMA continues to grow, THEN Vince will have to worry. He has used up EVERY possible angle and every possible character you can imagine.
Everyone always talks about a "next boom period", or a "new attitude era" and how wrestling will reignite itself again, but to be brutally honest, it won't. Everything has been done before,we've seen everything,no one can be shocked because we've seen it happen hundreds of times. Why go to a magician if you know all the tricks?
I don't know about everyone else, but I'll enjoy the WWE and wrestling while it still exists.

I don't see the E facing any real danger unless the government really stepped in and did something that hurt them which is highly unlikely, or another organization headed by a guy even younger and ballsier(and richer) than Vince comes along(well a few people)

WCW was wasting millions of dollars on old talent (sup Hulkster) and things like the KISS Demon. WWE is not doing the same. Exactly. Vince may not be putting on the best shows as of late(good RAW tho this week), but WWE isn't bleeding money like WCW did for years. Even Mark Henry's touted 10 year/10 Million Dollar deal was shown to be incorrect. Not to mention WCW was RAN by Bischoff and owned by Turner. Turner didn't REALLY give a damn near the end, and Bischoff was just spending the money. Vince, while phoning it in, would DAMN sure fix things if WWE started truly going down the fiscal crapper.

as much as we like to believe it, VINCE DOESN'T CARE WHAT A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF HIS FANS, KNOWN AS "SMARKS" THINK.

Terrible ratings? Compared to what other wrestling show?

DVD, PPV buyrates, Shopzone, ratings, and merchandise says otherwise. No, PPV buyrates don't really say otherwise. They're not consistent. There's some improvements in a few of the bigger (non Wrestlemania) shows in some cases, but also a few plummets in the others: www.100megsfree4.com/wiawrestling/pages/wwf/wwfppvbr.htmNot terrible, mind you. But hardly blow away overall.

For this poll, SNITSKY! is a better option than actually selecting Yes. There is virtually no chance of this happening in the near future. None.
For anyone who doubts, me let's get a bet going. I'm absolutely serious too.

also....
back to the stockbroker anagoly wwe contracts are probaly fixed but have a clause saying if the business bottoms up you dont get smurf

Sure, here's a metaphor - Let's say you're making a ton of money in the stock market in the late 90s, when the market is great. Instead of planning for the future and realizing it won't always be that good, you buy a huge house, a fancy car, and a boat. One the market dries up, you still have all those financial commitments - and no way to pay for them. Even if you're still making a decent living, you go bankrupt because you can't pay your debts. Same thing happened with WCW. When the market went nuts, the tied themselves to financial committments that they couldn't possibly maintain once the wrestling industry inevitably declined. Most notably, of course, was the insane talent contracts, but I'm sure there was other mismanagement beyond that. So a 1.4 TV rating and equivalent PPV buyrates aren't really that bad, but when you have to pay Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash a billion dollars, now you have a big problem, and you're not economically viable. Sweet. Thank you for the explanation. I guess the ironic thing is that WCW ran a lot of those stars' names into the ground so now theyd never be worth as much money as they got back then. Hogan might be the only exception but the guy's so old.

of course. a multi million dollar company which is currently making mroe money than it ever did before (buyrates may be down, but they've got enough merchandise sales to buy estonia three times over), and has only one alternative, which is in way more danger of folding than them, will surely fold before the year is over.
i doubt john cena is visiting the job center in advance.

Off topic maybe, but I don't think that TNA is like ECW. IMO I think that TNA is like the Pre-Hogan WCW, right down to the sound stage. If you're going to compare anything to ECW, I'd go with ROH: Despite the pay per view and loyal fanbase they're still the proverbial "big fish in a small pond". Back on topic: WWE WILL NOT DIE!
