I saw this on wrestlingobserver.com
Very cool. I completely missed it during the show, but noticed the Hennig name in the SD results on WWE.com.
Anyone know if he signed a developmental deal with WWE?

No idea if he's signed or not, but if he's even half as good as his father, he'll be great.

Man I hope so. With him, Harry Smith and Dibase Jr. (what's happening with him, by the way), we could start seeing some great second generation stars soon.

Both Dibiase jrs need a rich snobby inheritence gimmick, with Ted managing, or IRS if he cant.
Joe here can redo the Mr Perfect as well. Cash in on daddy, why not i say

I'll never understand why people like Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and The Rock were thrown on TV so young and green, yet it takes forever for them to put Harry Smith, Joe Hennig, and Dibiase Jr. on our television sets.

Hate to "nitpick" but everyone you've listed is a third generation superstar. I have high hopes from both Joe and Harry, haven't seen much of Dibiase Jr to comment.

I noticed that one of the "jobbers" had "Mr. Perfect" style tights on. Cool.

I smell a stable of second generation wrestlers in the near future. Wouldn't Joe be 3rd Generation? Yes, he would. I would be very happy to see the Blue Show turn into Greatest Hits of the 80s Jr. with Harry, Ted Jr., Nattie, and possibly Joe. However, the Mr. Perfect gimmick was a very hard gimmick to do (at least as far as being the perfect athlete and legit doing some of the amazing sportsman stuff Curt did). Arguably same with the Million Dollar Man gimmick. Both gimmicks could bring a lot of value to the company if they were done right. Both could also stink to high heaven if they were botched.

He's not signed yet, but I read that they were trying to get him down in FCW, or he was down there already. He's only been wrestling for a year or so, so he's probably still very green. He also doesn't seem to have much, if any kind of look yet.
If he does get to WWE, I'm sure he will be fine. If he used his dad's gimmick it would be easy money, and for once I trust that WWE would have him do it.
What an SD I missed yesterday, between Blade and Joe Henning being there.
Bindergang - Cody Rhodes is not green at all. He did very well in OVW, and was one of the highlights of it. It's just he's in WWE now, and without a real push, or a goofy gimmick, not much will happen with him. From his mini push with the Dusty/Orton feud, he got over well for being new.

I smell a stable of second generation wrestlers in the near future. WWE isn't smart enough to put together a very obvious stable such as this.

yall think WWE would give him the honor?
we havent seen a wrestler with a gimmick "II" in mainstrem wrestling in ages.

I'll never understand why people like Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and The Rock were thrown on TV so young and green, yet it takes forever for them to put Harry Smith, Joe Hennig, and Dibiase Jr. on our television sets. Orton, Rhodes, debuted on WWE tv about a year after being signed. Smith debuted after about a year and a half (though less than a year after his developmental debut, prior to which he was scheduled to debut on WWE tv a couple times which fell through). That doesn't seem like a significant difference to me. People grasp onto 2nd/3rd generation stars they think are "better" than the ones WWE have on tv, then once they debut and WWE doesn't give then solid booking or much character definition, they complain they're boring and generic. It's gonna happen to Harry too. I'm positive in a few years people will be complaining about something like they're pushing this "generic DiBiase kid cause of his name..." and longing for some other younger 2nd/3rd generation wrestlers (WWE NEEDS BLADE HART!!!) as the cycle repeats.

Both wrestlers that faced Jesse and Festus last night were trained by Harley Race. When I met Harley Race and Tony Atlas today they mentioned that Harley was training Joe Hennig. Atlas said that Joe is a lot like Curt.
