and if the endings of those matches weren't scripted, that record would actually mean something.

Aw, geez.
I'd say it means something that WWE thinks enough of the guy to script him to win 15 straight times at their biggest event.

Personally, the streak and all the hyping of it irritates me. I will always say that he should have lost to Orton at WM21 and not because I'm an Orton mark, just because it makes sense. Look at it this way: Besides the fact that it's a stat in a "fake" sport that actually means something to 'Taker. As I posted in the (w)Rest of Wrestling section, how can your gimmick be that of a "Legend Killer" if you can't go over REAL legends (a waaaaaaaaaay past his prime, full timer Ric Flair doesn't count)

You can always tell who has zero grip on reality when around WrestleMania they start saying "I don't care what happens, but Undertaker better win or I'm not watching WWE anymore!"

Oh, OK I didn't know that, and I couldn't tell seeing as the match was awesome. So am I to assume that Orton would have gone over if he wasn't injured?

I can't recall...when was it that they started to point out Taker was undefeated at WM?

I'll keep watching, but I still don't think he should lose. If he does loses at Wrestlemania I'll probably just be like, "Damn. Bit of a shame...ok, bring on the next match!"

I'd love it if there was an event he was 0-whatever at. But I doubt that exists, he's probably won at least once at every monthly/seasonal PPV that's been held since 1990.

And to think, if only Jimmy Snuka had gone over Undertaker at Wrestlemania VII, we wouldn't even be in this mess right now.

I still think that Randy Orton should have ended the streak a few years back. But that matched owned, regardless.

I think if Orton hadn't been injured he may have won his match against Taker at WM21. But since he was injured it wouldnt have made sense, since he wouldnt have been around to capitalize on it.
I have no real reason for believing this, its just that that match was the only time I ever really thought Taker would lose at Mania. Now i'm fairly certain that he won't ever lose his streak
