From Survivor Series last year.
What are your thoughts on this match. When I watched it live I was pretty POed cause I felt Edge, Orton et al were made to look like total idiots and jobbers.
But I just watched this match again and LOVED it. It wasn't so much that Team Rated RKO were made to look like losers, just that Team DX were TEN MILLION KINDS OF AWESOMENESS.
I love the flow of the match, if it had gone another ten minutes with the eliminations coming more spaced out (and maybe with Edge and Orton putting up more of a fight when it came down to 5-on-2) this would have been an easy MOTYC.
BTW, it looked like an AWESOME match to attend live, the crowd really are a reason I like this match so much in hindsight.

That group should've been the new DX.

I think Team DX is one of the all-time most awesome Survivor Series teams, probably only rivalled by Hogan/Snake Roberts/Demolition.
So I have no problem with them destroying their opponents.

I thought it was funny. Mainly because I didn't give a f*** about any of the heel team members.
Edge & Orton - looked like ass pirates together more than a tag team. I always called them Rated RGayO myself.
Mike Knox - I really didn't know who the f*** he was.
Gregory Helms - I never gave a crap about him.
Johnny Nitro - See Helms.
So when each one got eliminated...I got a good laugh ;D

I thought it buried the heel team, but at the same time, it was very entertaining.

I cheered on Gregory Helms... but enjoyed the match as a whole. Only way it could have been better is if Helms was the last one eliminated.

I still like the Raw before where all the teams where facing off and HBK gets on the mic and says "Why wait for Sunday we should have the Royal Rumble right now."

Dream team in my mind... Definitely brought the mark out in me! Same here. Plus, seriously, how was any element of that team going to lose that night. Wasn't gonna happen lol

I would say two things about this match:
1. One of the best matches in 2006. and 2. The best match of the night, this should have been the final match... with it more being spaced out....however Hulk Cena had to have the last 45 minutes beating the odds with the bathturd.

I was quite pissed off while I watched it.
Edge and Orton (and possibily Nitro) should have at least been given a chance, instead of being jobbed mercilessly.
Ok, Rated RKO were over enough to bounce back without too much effort, but still, your two top heels shouldn't lose in such a decisive way at a "transitional" PPV.

I thought the match itself was ok I spent most of the time laughing at the ridiculous way it was booked which burried two of the company's hottest heels (Edge & Orton) although I did quite enjoy Mike Knox being eliminated straight away and HBK not knowing who he was even though it killed any chance of success Knox had.

So IMO having two top heels getting their ass kicked in a major way during a "build-up match" brings the feud towards a one-way road: face dominance. And, according to Booking History 101, it'd be the heel who gets the upper hand at first, before the huge face comeback. Instead, there, D-X never looked in danger, and that took a bit away from the feud (see Cena v Everybody, 2004-06)

He was your top guy and there were some times where it looked like he'd lose to the likes of Angle and lost to Edge as well. So it wasn't like he steamrolled over everyone.

Didn't see this match, but I remember that all the way up to January JR always referred to Edge & Orton as 'Team' Rated RKO
