To answer the question about the unlockable arenas: You need to get a certain amount of points on Hall Of Fame-Mode, you'll unlock one with 6, another with 7 and one with 8 points if I remember it right.

Get the indicated number of Hall Of Fame mode points to unlock the corresponding arena:

OK, can someone explain to me in 24/7, what is the point of leveling up things like Camera Time, Mic Skills, Heel Heat, etc? Does any of this have any bearing on anything at all, or am I just wasting money I could be using to unlock characters? I can see how leveling up your fighting stats like Stamina, Durablity, etc is useful, because it actually improves your guy and makes it easier to win. But I have yet to see any benefit to the secondary stats like the mic skills and crap.

Building up your Mic Skills and Camera Time increases those areas. Increasing those areas increases the money you make when you do Movie Roles, promotional advertisements, etc.

I think you get more money and/or popularity from PPV commercials, promotional events, press conferences and other activities if you build those skills up. EDIT: Aw, damnit, beaten to it. Oh well, might as well post another pic of Hayabusa, this time with a more accurate mask that doesn't have the neck part... Now that I think of it, I really should tuck his gloves under the wrist bands.

Okay, so I'm actually leaning toward getting the game...but I have one thing troubling my mind.. Please tell me female CAWs aren't ridiculously useless in this game, with really smurfing lame attire choices....please? I would like to know this too... mainly I am wondering if women can use actual moves in their movesets this year. Last year I was gonna make some Shimmer wrestlers, but figured there was no point when divas couldnt use technical moves because of weight class.

Wow, thanks for all the replies to my original question about the secondary skills. I guess it does make sense then to level them up... by paying money to increase the skills, you stand to earn more money in the long term. Got it.

My Sara Del Rey is a Submission/Technical type and she uses every suplex and lock variation I managed to cram into her moveset.

I was so pissed last year because I had a really good looking Sara Del Rey CAW, but then once I realized that I had to give her catfight moves and low blows and nothing else, I scrapped it. I guess I have a new goal for this year then. I know it's probably a long shot, but by any chance is the Royal Butterfly in this game?

Well it's still a huge improvement over last year, so I am happy! Also assuming they kept the Vertebreaker in, I am making Cheerleader Melissa too.

I purcahsed SvR08 for my PS2 today (PS2 was $64.95 and Wii was $99.95). And so far, it's ok. I haven't touched 24/7 mode yet, after reading these threads and i still have to get used to the controls. But yeah, so far so good.
And i've been trying to make a Chris Benoit CAW, and failing you miserably. Damn you THQ.

Oh my god...
I decided to do the Shawn Michaels challenge for HoF, where you enter #1 in the Rumble and win.
I eliminated 29 people. There was never more than 2 people in the ring at a time, including me.
INCREDIBLY easy this year, long as you can remember how to button mash.

Alright, I've decided it: If Agetec doesn't get their crap together, and send more copies of Fire Pro Returns to Canada, I will buy this game as a "smurf you" to Agetec for saying "smurf You" to Canadian Fire Pro fans. Whoa whoa whoa...let's not say things we can't take back! Dude, I will buy you a copy and send it to you if it'll get you off the ledge of buying that expensive turd.

Actually I haven't seen it commented on, let's check out the reviews... Whoa, SVR 2008 BOMBED in the Gamespot review, it got 6.5?! Hopefully this will give THQ a good ole kick in the ass, and force them to make some serious changes. Wow, finally, someone recognizes the problems here. About damn time. And GS isn't a rinky-dink site they could just blow off. That's some heavy hitting right there. Even most telling is that the game is #10 on the Most popular overall list. Even Kane And Lynch, which got a lower rating, is beating it.

they came out with wrestle kingdom for the 360 already, so that means they have a 360-compatible day of reckoning-style engine just sitting there waiting to be used.
USE IT!
