Wait, so you can't just assign attributes to CAWs now?
I don't wanna play 24/7 just to make Homicide above useless.

Just tried beating Austin in the Submissions Match as Bret Hart. I was beating him pretty good and managed to get him in the red. Then he mounted a comeback and hit.........an elbow drop from the top turnbuckle! He automatically got a finisher and then stunned me. Then proceeded to..... to back to the friggin top rope!!! He did this sequence like 10 times in a row so I shut the game off. Also the lack of Murdoch/Cade/London/Kendrick/Super Crazy/Steven Richards/Haas/Benjamin sucks. I wish there was a way to get every guy on the roster onto a game. I'd even play as the Highlanders at least once

Has anybody figured out what the differences between the various tournaments are?
I've noticed that there's several tournament options like King of the Ring, Road to Wrestlemania, and Smackdown vs. Raw, that I have no idea what the difference between them is.

I'd do it but I'm afraid if I try to buy this game my intestines will travel up my body and strangle my brain as a mercy killing, which is a good thing I decided not to bother this year. To me though they sound like different variations on the same basic tournament, and SvR is probably just what it sounds like, starting with a bracket of SD guys vs. Raw guys.

Hey did anyone notice that the Zombie is in this game?? He's in the Sandman's entrance video. He got in on a technicality! There are also Zombie moves in create-an-entrance... How do those stat kits work? When I purchase one, can I only use it for 1 CAW, or for all? The manual is a joke, by the way. The German one at least. It isn't even mentioned how to tag, neither in the manual nor anywhere in the game. Yeah, it's not hard to figure out, but a manual should at least mention important information like this. Also, has anyone noticed that when you hit a schoolboy type of pin, the referee just stands there for a few seconds, motioning and staring into thin air before he starts counting?

I purcahsed SvR08 for my PS2 today (PS2 was $64.95 and Wii was $99.95). And so far, it's ok. I haven't touched 24/7 mode yet, after reading these threads and i still have to get used to the controls. But yeah, so far so good. And i've been trying to make a Chris Benoit CAW, and failing you miserably. Damn you THQ. I got HELLA confused looking at those prices, then looked at your location. That's $57.94 American on PS2 and $89.16 American on Wii. Still a big difference between "Crap on 6th Generation Console" and "Crap on 7th Generation console that doesn't allow you to do as much as the 6th, plus you have to wiglle your arms about like a doofus".

I noticed in the advert that we have fire, is there barbed wire as well? Pretty please? Not really, if you don't count barbwire 2 x 4's. Barbed wire 2x4s which you can set on FIRE. Incidentally spotted a blooper in one of the messages in 24/7 mode. Cena is asking you for help and after the main message you get 'you want that perfect ?'. And Lawler is so much better in heel mode (as he is for most of the game). Also heel Lashley and corporate ass-kissing Dreamer are....interesting.

I think your getting ripped off, my friend. The Wii and PS2 versions are the same price in the States. I can't believe they're charging $30 more for that game.

they came out with wrestle kingdom for the 360 already, so that means they have a 360-compatible day of reckoning-style engine just sitting there waiting to be used. USE IT! wait a second...Is the 360 region free? If so id pick this up but I definitely do not want to mod my system as its already touchy as hell as it is

Lately it seems that most games are, as I am checking Play-Asia's website at the moment and there's only a handful of games that are region-protected. They didn't have Wrestle Kingdom or its sequel, but at least the first one appeared to be region-coded when I looked it up on Ebay.

Yeah, it's not hard to figure out, but a manual should at least mention important information like this. The American manual is also useless. They assume that you know how to do most of the moves from previous games I suppose... that and it's also probably a scam to get you to buy the Strategy Guide since they detail things out a lot more in there I guess. It's awful.

How the hell do you escape a struggle submission? It prompts me to move the 'R'-stick around, which I do. And I submit in a matter of seconds.
...WHAT THE SMURFING SMURFITY-SMURF!?!?

Check the instruction manual! Oh right..... I have no clue what I am doing with struggle submissions -- both as the person doing the move, and as the person taking the move. I usually just move the R stick around and it makesa nice vibrating feeling, then after a while the submission hold is done. If anyone can shed light on this, I too would like to know.

Is there a way to have your CAWs with free maxed stats or do I have to buy stats for each one?

I tried doing the King of the Ring Hall of Fame challenge last night with Elijah Burke. Big mistake. I got to the 2nd round and was defeated by King Booker within a matter of minutes.
I love Burke but I couldn't defeat Booker using him on Legend difficulty..therefore, it prompted me to select "Super-Cena"..as I just wanted to get past it with as little difficulty as possible..I got as far as the last round and was defeated by Edge.
At least the game is a bit of a challenge..
I really like the tournament mode..hopefully they keep this as a standard feature rather than phase random things out each year.
